  1. Cease usually starts strong then he goes wild. Too much money IMO for his pedigree. Suarez is way better.
  2. Story better shut the f up. He is lucky he’s in the lup. He f sucks! He’s literally a black hole.
  3. The front office believed in David Hamilton despite trading him to the Brewers. When he returned to Fenway in April and played well, the FO began to question the coaching staff’s developmental process with young guys: "Why do a lot of players go to other places and get better? Why do other guys come here and get worse?"
  4. IMO Duran has a better glove than Anthony, and it’s not even close, and if he starts hitting why will you put Anthony in the OF mostly when he seems to be made of glass.
  5. Cora had to go. This team had been playing very poor fundamentals for a while. The platoon nonsense had to stop. The lining up of your subpar buddies had to stop. The “we gotta do better” had to stop. The hitting coaches had to go as well. This team couldn’t hit to save their lives. Part of the cancer has been removed the way I see it. We needed fresh air. Breslow had to go as well and probably will in the offseason and maybe later through the season if things turn around very ugly. He’s just Henry’s puppet anyways. We have to deal with JH, unfortunately. I don’t see him selling the team unless the bottom line says the opposite and I don’t see that happening soon with all the pink hats out there.
  6. Definitely! I wanted Marte or Bichette. I heard Arizona was looking for Bello and Mayer.
  7. Agreed and That’s on Breslow. You just can’t put and expect a young man who hasn’t proven anything carry by himself a big market team like the Boston Red Sox.
  8. Maybe it’s just me but the Anthony hype probably was just that, a hype. Hopefully he becomes what everybody is expecting but I don’t give it for granted. For instance he has to probe he is not fragile.
  9. Durbin is starting to hit a bit and Mayer is your best glove in the infield. I give Mayer a full year and let him play everyday and see what he’s made of for once and for all, if he shows lights AND is durable, keep betting on him, otherwise move on and call Arias. Story and Yoshida as I said are role players at this point. Either you DFA them or live accepting that.
  10. For me, Story and Yoshida should be role players moving forward. They are not everyday players in my book. Let the youngsters play & take the load, no matter what. If you are going to die, die of something at least.
  11. I said on other post they need balls and common sense to realize Story is not an everyday SS anymore. This is more or less the best we have IMO. Let’s go!
  12. Feels like this team is run by a mafia. just sell the team man.
  13. Wong must catch Crochet moving forward. Futhermore he should take most of the load moving forward, he has earned it.
  14. Devers was red hot when he left. Sale had freaking injuries not related to baseball. You had to bet. You wish for DH's todays production in this anemic offense which speaks volumes of the coaches.
  15. Hopefully this is a sign they are turning around. Crochet for instance gained a lot of confidence today. BTW posting on this site is a torture. For some reason I have to do it always twice.
  16. He "only" moved Devers and Sale? LOL! That's a lot. Sale won a CY and Devers somehow someway is playing 1B in SFG. BTW where is the center pice Grissom? Hitting 800 in LAA. Useless Hamilton? Looking like MVP caliber player in MIL. They let walk Pivetta and Bregman. They are experts on that, I give you that. They also gave Password for a bum who is already in the IL. Add Montgomery and Meidroth who are doing well in Chicago while extended Campbell who is in oblivion and probably won't see a MLB AB again. It's beyond me why he's still here.
  17. Craig Breslow. Going into his tenure as POBO for the Sox, he had Devers, Sale, Story, Whitlock, Pivetta, Martin, Yoshida, Casas, Duran, Abreu, Houck, Crawford, and Bello. He also had the third ranked farm system ITL with names such as Mayer, Anthony, Rafaela, Teel, Campbell, Yorke, Fitts and more. He had so much talent to build around, instead, most of these guys are gone, or not optimized because of his horrible roster construction or bad coaching hires. It was simple, you develop the guys that you had, and build around those guys with outside talent who can produce. Instead, Breslow has done the opposite, put together awful rosters, and alienated players, execs, and coaches. Unfortunately firing would lead to no one wanting to take the job, as they would fear they would only have it for a few years, but at this point you have to. Eddie Romero has played second fiddle since Dave Dombrowski and I believe it is his time to shine. Let him build this team from the ground up, he deserves it and I think he would do an amazing job. Breslow sucks, simple as that. Hopefully his employers realize that soon
  18. Reading The Orioles hit so many home runs off the Red Sox tonight that they ran out of fireworks in Baltimore. Not kidding.
