    LOL I’m not defending him, just pointing out the facts. Pivetta has kept us in the game and is facing a top ten wRC+ team which btw leads the majors in HRs. If you ask me and if he keeps doing that the rest of the season I’d sign it in a heartbeat. Yes, and as I said, offense is struggling against a bum. Good thing their BP is around the corner and is arguably the worst of the majors. Btw Pivetta just gave us 6 IP (and almost get a QS) —btw defense didn’t help. In my book it is not a great start by any means but given the circumstances it is a solid one for a guy like Pivetta.

    Oh yeah but at the time I think Pivetta and Kluber pitched the same day or something, reason why I made the comp I guess. The important thing is that even the Pivetta pick up will work bette for us.

    Pivetta is facing an elite offense. Thus far he has us in the game. The lamentable thing is the offense. Can’t believe we can’t destroy this bum.

    Seems like the time bomb just exploded. As I said it was a matter of time, but was too early though. For the record. I wasn’t disputing who was a better pitcher o who has better stuff. Disputing that would be dumb. I was disputing the “pick up” considering their actual profile moving forward. In that regard, 1 month ago when both were healthy, I thought (still thinking) choosing Pivetta is a no-brainer for me. Pivetta —the way I see it— will be a better pick up for the Sox. It’s very likely Pivetta eats way more innings at a very competitive level —4.0 ERA. Not to mention his cost, control, and specially his upside.

    We let them live. We have to jump early in the game and capitalize our opportunities. Brave's pitching is a complete mess specially their BP. Normally, I agree with Cora's moves, but resting JD and Xander didn't pan out well the last couple of games. We lost the last game of the series vs PHI and now this one. We can not afford putting in jeopardy winnable games. This is a tough and close division. Said that Richards is 100% legit folks. Once again I tip my cap for this pick up. He has faced some elite offenses and he always give us a chance to win. Cora should have let him finish the 6th though (another error).

    "Heyman says the Yankees are optimistic about the possible results, as Kluber "only" reported tightness in his right shoulder" Told ya. Have to wait the results but as I said old horses like Kluber are time bombs waiting to explode at some point, unfortunately. If Kluber is oks, they have to minimize his load to 80-pitches max/5-innings. Throwing 100 pitches per game will make the time bomb explode earlier. Said that, hopefully he is oks though.

    My point is that some key DPs and specially that TP won't happen again 99/100 of the times, plus bad calling game by the umps in key situations taxed the WS way more. s*** happens, this time for the WS, who had a lot of opportunities to put the series in a different situation. Again... let's see if this continuous.

    Couldn't catch the game again. Seems like Rodriguez had a couple of mistakes in the 1st and that was enough to seal the deal. He needs to attack the zone with more confidence. He needs to trust in his stuff. That was key in 2018 and 2019, and even in the first games of this season. He is throwing a lot of pitches early and it is taxing it.

    Nah it was sided specially in the 4th where the ump killed Cease, then it was pretty easy for NYY and the rest is history. Said that you were very lucky in this series. You turned a lot of ridiculous DP and even a TP when the WS had everything to take the lead with zero outs in several situations. Let's see if your luck continuous moving forward.

    BABIP has not been on his side. Today starts its regress to its former career number. Just watch.

    Well that could change my prediction but they are resting Harper as well, so hard to tell. Xander and JD probably will come off the bench as PHs though. Gonna be an interesting game. The key regardless the line up gonna be Eduardo who I expect performs great today.
