  1. Geez this was one of the most heart breaking L Ive ever seen. It’s baseball after all.
  2. Othani, Trout, Rendón, Walsh, etc are elite bats today Max. All I’m saying our pitching deserves credit specially Perez. It’s not easy face these guys by any means.
  3. One thing is what the have shown thus far but name by name they are elite. It’s not even debatable.
  4. This LAA offense is an elite one yet people will not give credit to Pivetta and Perez who pitched a gem today. One day at a time boys. Let’s f go!
  5. LOL just figured out. I guess I shouldn’t have said anything LOL
  6. I honestly like this very underrated team Bell. Tip my cap to Bloom and Cora. They are intangibles that you won’t find in stats.
  7. I drafted him and dropped him since he made me tie my first match when I was winning. It’s called the heat of the moment. I should have been patient. I drafted him because I really believed he was going to splash. I s*** the bed. He has been money since then, go figure. I will pick him up again next week if he is still available. It’s a no-brainer.
  8. Realistic view? We are one of the best teams in baseball —today. What about that? Deal with that tomorrow boy.
  9. Pivetta >> Kluber. Kluber unfortunately for NY at this point is nothing but a prone-injury old horse. He is 35 yo and counting. On the other hand, Pivetta is 7 years younger and on the cheap with a lot of upside. Bloom will eat Cashman’s lunch on this one.
  10. A day at a time. People (even Red Sox fan here) expect this team choke all of the sudden and be mediocre as expected — 80-85 win team. Not today. Not today. Let’s f go!
  11. Can’t believe we took Pivetta out.
  12. Yeah, 0 effort at that swing.
  13. IMO Bloom and his coaching team has a lot to do in that regard compadre. I think this thing happened very often in TB. They fix pitching.
  14. Pivetta untreatable.
  15. He needs a couple of years playing every day to polish his talent.
  16. He isn’t afraid to throw strikes. He has been nasty tonight.
  17. Geez Pivetta is dealing. After this game he will have 10 games pitching for us with a ridiculous ERA under 3. 10 games is not a large sample by any means but it’s something you can certainly start taking in serious consideration. Speaking for my self I’m already in Pivetta’s bandwagon band lol
  18. The more I see this team the more I like Bloom. It’s still early but if this keeps going you have to tip your cap. One day at a time. I think he, and only he, knew what the hell was going to get from this product named 2021 Boston Red Sox.
  19. Renfroe SO a lot but when he hits you can expect this very often. He has a lot of power in those arms.
  20. Well, time will tell jacko. I’ve been very critical in the past when I saw flaws but I also made bold assessments in 2013 and 2018 when we won it all. As I said since day one, this team will be a pleasant surprise. Save this post.
  21. IMO Sox have way better rotation and anybody (yes, even Perez) can matchup any offense & ace combo any day of the week. This rotation is compact and balanced. There’s no such difference between No 1. And No 5. This fact makes us very dangerous since most of the times it will keep us competing in most games with an elite offense. Regarding the pen, we have an elite closer. We have solid arms for high-leverage situations in Whitelock, The Jap, Hernandez (who has improved a lot) and even Ottavino. Also, Houk is a good option coming from the pen if needed. All-in-all it has been (will be) solid. Bloom is a TB guy, and he knows how to fix pitching —seems that has been working thus far with all the pitching staff. Regarding the offense, we have a better one. Numbers are there. I expect it goes that way through the season. It is elite specially our 1-5, and the bottom it’s very versatile with a lot of options. It won’t see Cordero for much longer, unless he somehow comes around. As I said I honestly like our chances.
  22. Thanks for the info jacko.
  23. Thing is, you most of the times think that things will go north for NY and south for the Sox and it hasn’t been that way since I’ve been in the board — just the opposite. Said that, I like our chances going further than NY this year.
  24. Sure, but in Pivetta’s case he’s been consistently solid since last year. Thing is talent is there, and that my friend, it’s the most important thing beyond the sample.
