  1. You are missing the point. Before this year (career) compared with this 2021 Barnes, Barnes wasn’t this good. No one in his right mind thought he was going to be extended in July. No one.
  2. I meant the “calling up”, not the “when”. At the time Nick and few others like me said that it made all the sense of the world and most posters bashed him and me while presenting all kind of negative arguments. That discussion was few weeks ago. Most people thought he wasn’t going to be be called up this year. Said that hopefully this kid splashes this year and becomes a super star moving forward.
  3. You go with the easy way “he is ready when Bloom says so” Cmon moon, act like a man. JK lol
  4. Yessir I guess Bloom sees things as we do lol
  5. Agree 100% It’s called common sense.
  6. Nahhh not that way before. A month or so. I bet Bloom had him in his mind as well since then. Probably earlier. Some people thought he was not going to be called up at all and pointed out only the “negatives”. Nick and I and few others thought just the opposite. Said that and as Nick said, we literally don’t lose anything if he shits the bed this year.
  7. Barnes has had only 3 months of elite pitching and that’s it. He always was wild. His command always was as an issue. My guess is they fixed what they needed to be fixed and expect he keeps that way. They didn’t bought career Barnes. They are buying this new Barnes.
  8. Maybe Duran will share some time in CF and 2B too. The possibilities are limitless knowing Bloom and Cora which is great.
  9. People were saying Duran was going to play everyday when called up. That’s not necessary the case either. Nick and I and few others were all hands on in Duran’s calling up. I guess we see eye to eye things like Bloom does lol
  10. I bet most LAD fans do not feel comfortable when Kershaw takes the ball in POs. That’s the point.
  11. If the samples are relatively large and fair like in Price’s & Kershew’s, yup. The haven’t been in their expected level in most of their PO appearances. That’s a fact.
  12. I think Santana brings more to the table but Chavis is a trade bait. My guess? Santana will be DFAed.
  13. It’s a good moment to call him up while trying to answer some questions before the TD. If this kid splashes, their moves will be easier to address and probably they will focus only in pitching.
  14. Yup and both have been terrific in regular season.
  15. Oh yeah, but people tought that Bloom was thinking he wasn't ready. Seems he is. Said that, we’ll se how they use him.
  16. My Lup would be 1. Arroyo 2. Verdugo 3. Xander 4. Devers 5. JD 6. Duran 7. Kike 8. Vazquez 9. Renfroe
  17. If Kike can play 1B It could be 1B Kike 2B Arroyo 3B Devers SS XB RF Renfroe CF Duran LF Verdugo C Vázquez
  18. Kelly raised his game in 2018 PO. Koji raised his game in 2013. Price raised his game in 2018 POs. Look at Pearce. It goes the other way too. Look at a Kershaw. Look at a Mookie. Look at Kimbrel. Etc. The list is endless. The point is some players can deal better with pressure (clutch moments), some just can’t. It is what it is.
  19. Yup. It is happening. So excited!
  20. Reading that Duran will joint the team tomorrow in NY. People were saying he is not ready. Bloom thinks the opposite. Let’s f go!
  21. Price has pitched 23 games in POs and only 99 IP, why? because the hook most of the times was there. He should have pitched 140 IP at very least but he didn't because he was not very good in that instance. That is not a small sample by any means.
  22. Price is another example. He was a terrific pitcher in regular season but he couldn't handle POs (aside 2018). It happens, and not only in baseball.
  23. You are pointing out IFs. I'm pointing out facts. He is not very good in POs. He simply isn't, and at his age, he will likely not going to change that fact.
  24. for that game, he could be, but all-in-all he is not a clutch pitcher in my book.
