If Sale is not at least 80% vintage Sale we are done. 80% Sale Eovaldi Houck Pivetta/Rodriguez This is a rotation that can keep us in most games IMHO. Our real strength is at pen. If these guys keep us in games through five innings (I think most of the times have happened this season), we have a legit shot in POs. I give Bloom and Cora the benefit of the doubt. Thus far they have made a tremendous job with a subpar team.

I think Tatís just blew his arm in a dumb play trying to steal 3rd. This could change the whole scenario for Los Padres.

I agree with you in all but with a guy like Scherzer we are not worse than LAD or SDP. We are simply not, and my opinion is far from biased.

While it could sound optimistic, I’m trying to be objective as well. Rodriguez before the start vs NY, he had what? 3-4 encouraging starts? The big ? is, is he 100% healthy? If so he’s going to be oks. Pivetta is definitely a major ?. He is for sure a box of chocolates but he has proven he can at least keep us in games —4 ER through five IP. -
As bad this could look guys, we will be oks. Devers is going to come back. Arroyo will comeback. JD will hit again. Shwarber will join this team. Houck will take a spot in the rotation. Sales is coming. Bloom thinks he is going to be oks, reason why they didn’t add an arm. Rodriguez won’t be an ace but will be a solid No. 3-4. Pivetta? Make a copy-paste of the later. Our pen is still elite. Thing is our engines are not sync right now.
