  1. Why did they pull him?
  2. Some will tell you, clutch is not a repeatable skill even with these facts.
  3. “I don't think he has enough history to say he can't go a 3rd time & being By Soporer. As I said, managing based on stats is getting ridiculous.
  4. Because there’s no other reason to perform above/below their standards. Sorry moon, you are trying to complicate things that simply aren’t. If you played a lot baseball you wouldn’t send Kershaw over Schilling in a decisive game. Numbers are cold and solid. Kershaw is mediocre in POs.
  5. Yeah, and the 3-1 pitch was a ball.
  6. Because what you are saying doesn’t make sense with the topic.
  7. In POs the environment/pressure is bigger. It’s common sense. Pitching in the 9th inning you handle more pressure. Pitching/hitting with bases loaded implies more pressure. Hitting with RISP implies more pressure. Etc. If you can’t understand that, with all due respect, you don’t understand baseball.
  8. unbelievable. 0 outs and no runs with bases loaded. wow!
  9. IMO Houck does not make this walking carousel that our BP just did in the 5th.
  10. point is they have to let him go deeper, otherwise they will never develop him.
  11. How many pitchers are effective after the 3rd round? They are very few.
  12. They do not expect Houck to be perfect after 5. Wonder how many pitchers are perfect after five min a regular basis. yeah, They need to stop this nonsense.
  13. yeah, can't believe Robles is still in the team.
  14. can't believe Whitlock was afraid to throw strikes to Gardner. It's simply unacceptable.
  15. This is what happens when you are a pussy and stop throwing strikes. It's simply unacceptable walk Gardner.
  16. I think forkballs have more break than splitters.
  17. I think they both are the same.
  18. It looked to me a plain FB. Very bad call by Sanchez anyways.
  19. It is a good repertory. Question is, How good is he with his splitter and the sinker?
  20. Was it a sinker? it didn't sink at all.
  21. 2-2 but our base running keeps being horrible man. As someone said it before, Montgomery's OPS against in clutch situations dramatically goes from 500 to 800 (or something). If this is not a prove of clutch, I don't know what it is lol. He shouldn't have pitched a FB at all. I think it was Sanchez' call though.
  22. Look at KIKE, he started to take balls after a 0-2 count and he finally walked. Our guys need to be patience.
