  1. So the Sox can’t have a bad stretch but other teams like NYY can?
  2. In all fairness I think the Sox had been one of the few teams in majors who never had a really bad stretch. It’s happening now. I said it before. I still think we win the division. Stars will align again. Hold you faith people.
  3. It could definitely be another reason. Maybe he is thinking more than he should or used to. Either way he has to take 3-4 days off or bring him in Low leverage situations and help him gain confidence again.
  4. Is Muñoz oks again? Call him up already! We didn’t make moves in the TD, fine! Use our best assets in minors. We have to do something.
  5. I play Kike at 1B if he can play there without get injured. Duran hasn’t been a problem at CF. I would prioritize the offense and play the hottest hitters right now. Arroyo has to play 2B. The big question should be, what are we going to do when Shwarber plays? Who are you going to sit? Duran? Arroyo? Renfroe? Kike?
  6. Sometimes you have to give closers time to clear their heads when they suck back to back. They lead with a lot of pressure in a regular basis. Look at a Chapman. Barnes right now does not look confident. A lot of load and pressure is in his head. The couple of knock outs of the weekend are still there. He can’t lead with pressure right now. It’s mental. Give him time to clear his head, he is not a clutch pitcher right now.
  7. Some said that Barnes was good before 2021. This is actually what Barnes was. Mediocre. Poor command and control. It’s a shame that our major strength through the season, has cost us painful and heartbreaking games lately. They need to put another closer and let Barnes clear his head a bit. He looks very pressured.
  8. I just read that Arroyo will have rehab sessions next week as well as Santana. They should be available in 2 weeks. Also seems like Shwarber is doing well too and should be available in a week or two.
  9. Lol Yeah, DD was great with the Sox. He knew when and how to push the buttons. One of the best GMs in Sox history, no doubt.
  10. It’s not his decision to go deep in games. He could have gone 5 or maybe 6, but I guess they want to be cautious due his injury track record, but he has pitched spectacular in the innings they have given him.
  11. I thought we were going to split this series and start the turn around but last game was brutal and out of any doom script. Houck is already in the rotation. He's been nothing but spectacular. Sale is coming, and Bloom says he is in good shape and healthy. I want to trust him. Today's game will be key. If Rodrigues throws a solid game, it will be very encouraging moving forward. Pivetta hasn't sucked lately. I still believe we win the division.
  12. Yup. it means a lot. Numbers do not lie. As I have said, it is a mental skill. It applies not only for baseball but at any situation in life. It's clear that some players handle better the pressure than others. The easiest analysis in baseball is to look at RPs. Some can close and some simply do not, even if you consider similar pedigrees. Interesting numbers of Gallo in clutch moments. He sucks.
  13. Stanton is probably one of the most horrible contracts of all time. OTOH JD's was a steal.
  14. Lol! Still, We are going to win the division. Save this post. Please.
  15. Yeah, that year was brutal. My hope are Sale and Houck. If they are not what Bloom thinks they are, then yes, we are done. Also I see ERod bit better, and while Eovaldi s*** the bed tonight, I think he won’t collapse like he did tonight. Also Shwarber and Arroyo are coming. They will likely spark this lineup. I also would go with Arauz, Muñoz, Cordero, Kevin and Duran. Marwin has to be DFAed and Dalbec has to go to minors. Said that maybe I’ve been optimistic a bit and more than usual, but I still really think we have a very good team, but our engines are not sync right now. For instance I think we will split this series, and we’ll be strong again next week.
  16. Yeah but he is not as bad as the last two. These new two arms are killing this team.
  17. My guess? Springer is behind this.
  18. This is why Cora doesn’t have to send garbage pitching early.
  19. Yes. They are getting cocky. They haven’t won anything though. Remind me the Astros. They are a looser franchise. We own them badly through time. This game won’t change those fact.
  20. Back then A700 and I predicted the collapsed in early August. Literally everyone went to our necks. It was shocking. Said that, as bad this could look like right now, I don’t see that this year.
  21. This guy Robles is the new Andriese?
  22. Yup. Jd just can’t do what Toronto just did these days. It’s a shame.
  23. This could have been out of reach but once again JD shits the bed.
