  1. Yeah it could be 40-1 but you as a manager don’t let your pitcher die like this.
  2. Baseball is funny. Valdez has come in high leverage situations and he had been fantastic. He looks like a position player pitching right now.
  3. I think they are also better than the guys the jus traded. In fact I believe they will contribute well coming off the pen.
  4. They should implement a mercy rule. This is simply nonsense.
  5. Ríos is way better than the two guys they just traded.
  6. Yeah 100% agreed. Loving how this team is rounding moving forward. Thing is Sale, Shwarber and even Houck have the realistic potential in my book to be A+ help.
  7. This! This is exactly what I’ve been talking about. Plus, Eovaldi, Rodriguez and Pivetta are looking good lately. Arroyo will join. Seems like Muñoz will join as well. I expect Verdugo will be very motivated after his paternity. Man, stars are starting to align again.
  8. No problem with Kike, let him play everyday as well, but IMHO the names you just mentioned are over him. Also, maybe Dalbec should stay as well, at least for platoon opportunities, so I demote Cordero instead.
  9. Listen to me well, if Sale, Houck and Shwarber turn into A+ help, we will face SF in the World Series and you can betcha I’ll be there lol
  10. This is the kind of games that help you to gain confidence and remind every player that 100 games of success weren’t a fluke. I still have confidence compadre. Hopefully we make the playoffs and see you again in Boston or NY. Will be a pleasure. First 3 rounds of beer go on me lol.
  11. Yeah, it worked out because he hit like Ted Williams tonight lol. Hopefully he keeps this way regardless where he hits.
  12. Can’t believe it’s been almost 10 years since we got here. Geez!
  13. Reading that Richards was just sent to the BP. He probably will help this team from there.
  14. Not sure whether I like to see Renfroe hitting there.
  15. SP: Josh Fleming 1. Brandon Lowe (2B) 2. Ji-Man Choi (1B) 3. Nelson Cruz (DH) 4. Austin Meadows (LF) 5. Wander Franco (SS) 6. Randy Arozarena (RF) 7. Joey Wendle (3B) 8. Brett Phillips (CF) 9. Francisco Mejia © SP: Nathan Eovaldi 1. Enrique Hernandez (2B) 2. Hunter Renfroe (RF) 3. Xander Bogaerts (SS) 4. Rafael Devers (3B) 5. J.D. Martinez (DH) 6. Kevin Plawecki © 7. Marwin Gonzalez (LF) 8. Bobby Dalbec (1B) 9. Jarren Duran (CF)
  16. I would keep Muñoz, Arauz, Rios and Cordero. Demote/DFA Dalbec, Andriese, Robles, Davis and Marwin. Not sure what to do with Santana. If still space keep him, if not DFA.
  17. So you just got here and won’t say hello to your only old Latin American friend iortiz? LOL Great to see you around man. Hopefully you are oks.
  18. 31? Make a move Chaim!
  19. I have no idea whether we were in a realistic position to land Scherzer or Berrios, considering all the parts/consequences —tax, payroll, future plans, prospects, etc. I simply have no idea. I don't even know whether he at least tried, but what I do know is that we had a legit chance to splash this year with some quality help. Hopefully Sale, Houck and Shwarber are all the help we need to right the ship.
  20. This team reminds me 2013. Geez we started without a closer until Kioji emerged and we all know how it ended up. That 2013 team was not fav by any means but day after day found ways to win games. This team has proven that they can do that with a bunch of subpar players. Said that, yes, Bloom probably should have made a trade specially at pitching and here and there, but I want to give him the benefit of the doubt once Shwarber and Sale play; maybe and just maybe, the later (plus Houck) was his master plan. We'll se though.
  21. Well, once the team is complete, my untouchables and who IMO have to play almost every day are (in this order): Devers Xander Verdugo Arroyo Shwarber JD Renfroe Kevin (yes, over Vazquez) Then I have these guys in the mix who can share some roles depending on the situation: Duran Kike Muñoz (he is someone I want in this tram already) Vazquez Cordero Dalbec
  22. Have to check it twice but MIL, NYY, TBR, among others have had similar bad stretches. I think the only team who has been good without major problems is SFG. Even LAD and SDP have had bad times. Our record is still one of the best in baseball.
  23. Seems like our rotation has settled down a bit. Our offense while not that great it was in the first half, at least they are getting on base. Thing right now is the BP, which had been our biggest strength in the first half. Also, Arroyo and Schwarber will join. Sale will join. Houck will go deeper. Clutch hitting/pitching won't be this bad. So yes, while I could sound positive, I think there's still objective reasons to think they can bounce back.
