  1. i'd love to see the source where the front office said he's not commited to the team. even if it was true, the front office wouldn't come out and say it
  2. we only have 25 roster spots. can we really spare one for a guy who can't play defense or hit lefties?
  3. i was holding out hope prior to the rays series but even before that series i had said it would take a miracle and that i doubted even the '98 yankees could make up 6 games in a month if 4 of their starting position players were on the dl and their #2 and #3 starters were having the worst years of their career if we were healthy that would be one thing but there's no way we're going to beat the best 2 teams in the al in the head to head series that we'd need to win in order to have a chance
  4. i said a while ago that it would take a miracle for us to make the playoffs
  5. i don't have a problem with him not extending his young ace beyond 100 pitches in a meaningless game
  6. jed lowrie is not hanley ramirez? you're blowing my mind
  7. i'd rather see what lowrie and iglesias are capable of and go after a free agent to fill a position where i don't think we have as much promise in our minor league system
  8. scutaro! (my personal) MVP! (my personal) MVP!
  9. i don't doubt that you heard rumors about him from somewhere but i never heard anyone doubt his commitment until he got hurt this year i don't think it would have done much good for him to try to play through the injury. even after all the time he gave it to heal it fractured again within weeks of playing in games
  10. he may have either forgot how many outs there were or he thought it would have looked really embarassing if he whiffed on the tag and the run scored
  11. and there's buchholz' luck evening out. the run scores on a bloop buchholz up over 80 pitches in the 4th inning of a doubleheader. woohoo!
  12. manny still has an interpreter? i hope he also filters
  13. i can't tell if you're being serious or not
  14. doesn't look like buchholz has it today. he usually doesn't have to pitch out of trouble this often
  15. i understand the danger of missing the tag but it seems more dangerous to make a throw across the diamond considering how awesome our team is at throwing and catching
