    the red sox are clearly showcasing their prospects. they just called up reddick and anderson, navarro, kalish and nava are all in the lineup tonight

    reddick has been called up after hitting .351/.372/.627 since the all-star break at aaa. he's only 23 and could be an important part of a trade this offseason if the red sox are happy with what they have in kalish

    i agree, those early 90's red sox were the ones i grew up on and they'd routinely finish 20 games out of a playoff spot

    hard to argue that one. he leads the team in WAR by 2. i do appreciate all that scutaro's been able to due while he's been so banged up though. we really needed him with all our other injuries and he's played through some serious discomfort

    i agree, he is a better player than mcdonald but mcdonald's still one of the best 3 free agent options out there for his position and he'll come at a discount compared to many of the other options out there

    perhaps he needs a little more time in aaa but if he isn't ready to be in the majors yet, he's awfully close. i just think it's going to take a bit of an adjustment period

    there aren't many quality options for center fielders. david dejesus, coco crisp and darnell mcdonald may be the best options out there

    i bet the umps get annoyed with lackey because he takes long pauses after every pitch within half a foot of the strike zone that's not called a strike. i know it's annoying to me

    i'm not so sure that mcdonald would want to come back as a backup. i think he may have earned a starting job with his performance this year
