  1. win! clutch performance from papelbon
  2. i think that's a bit of a stretch
  3. neimann was one of the best pitchers in the al before he got hurt. if he continues to pitch like this it could do wonders for us
  4. i don't think there's enough discussion about how much mike lowell sucks
  5. clutch hitting exists
  6. prior to tonight's game he had given up a home run or less in 12 of his last 13 starts
  7. how did you guess that beckett was going to blow up? he's been pitching so well lately!
  8. it's those multi-run home runs that i have an issue with. not a good sign that beckett fell apart with less than 100 pitches against the worst offense in baseball
  9. that's only the third time all year he's given up more than 1 home run in a game
  10. i have no problem with beckett giving up solo shots
  11. imagine if we signed figgins instead of beltre
  12. nava sucks. when are we gonna get a major leaguer with some experience in there?
  13. a commercial for therapy in the middle of a red sox game? now that is some perfect add placement
  14. lee isn't going to be easy to sign. texas has over $30 million in salary coming off the books and they've said that lee is their #1 priority this offseason. the dodgers were interested in lee when he was on the trade block but didn't want to give up prospects to get him, they have more than $40 million in salary coming off the books. the angels and red sox also inquired and they both have over $30 million coming off the books
  15. i guarantee that lee will make more than $20 million per year. it's possible that the yankees sign lee, but if they do they'll have pretty much no money left over to address their bench or their bullpen. i think it's going to take more than 5 year/100 million to sign lee, there are a lot of teams with money being freed up this offseason and 2/3rds of the teams in baseball could use a #1 starter
  16. any other former yankees outfielders available? maybe we could see if bernie williams would like to come out of retirement
  17. i think we all can agree that we need to address the bullpen. which relievers interest you guys?
  18. there's no way we're going to sweep the rays with 1/3 of our lineup on the dl
