what I want to know is who the f*** OKed the first game of the year being a night game in Chicago. The first two weeks of the season the northern teams should all be on the road down south and out west. Give it a fighting chance to warm up just a bit.

Relapse involving cocaine, apparently. Some disagreement on whether he'll be treated as a first time offender as his suspension was before he was on MLB roster. I can't exactly cast the first stone - I know of the power of addiction, having worked in the field of addiction treatment. Also, given how he fell off the charts at the plate the last couple of seasons, it's not entirely surprising to hear he relapsed. Just very disappointing.

Don't see how. The ump calls the pitches right after they're delivered, except for that one douche who takes forever, can't remember his name. Pitchers taking forever to deliver a pitch or a batter walking several steps out of the box to adjust his gloves, helmet and crotch take much more time. LET'S GO WHILE WE'RE YOUNG. -
