    You can tell I don't follow college hoops. Heard of Coach K, of course. Seen his name pop up time and again but until today I never realized he coaches Duke. I always thought it was Kentucky or something. Probably the alliteration.

    I'd buy your argument if they weren't dishing out $20mil per now, at the front end. How high could his value reasonably be expected to climb? They have overpaid now, instead of waiting and seeing how he will do and then, OK, you want to keep him, you still have to overpay anyway. I'm surprised by the timing, and don't like the money. Every time the Sox seem to do something smart, they turn round and do something that's questionable at best.

    As far as gamethreads go, I'm the mop-up man, making 8-10 starts in late August and Sept and the team's 20 games out and everyone's stopped caring.

    Gave up on that ******** two years ago. Mostly because I have DSL and so it's often crapping out during games. f*** it, ain't nobody got time for that. I love how the media is all over Lester's s*** after one start on a cold April night.
