  1. Palodios

    Pujols

I know its illogical, but I think an A-gon for Pujols deal is completely possible.
  2. If you didn't enjoy it, you wouldn't write full page rants insulting me--among other posters-- and making it personal. I don't know why the other posters on this board don't seem to care that you're such an ******* to anyone with an opinion you find illogical, but quite frankly, I think you're a horrible human being.
  3. How many significant players have outright admitted to using steroids, at all?
  4. If you find me annoying, add me to your ignore list. It would solve so many problems. No one else on this board has any major problem with me. You're just an ******* to me because you enjoy it. Go the f*** away.
  5. Ohhhh, he spent time with you, that would explain it. There is nothing unrealistic about saying that this team will have to deal with injuries, but manage to survive. Teams with holes make the playoffs. I don't need to tell you how few holes this team has, and fortunately, that will also include the bench.
  6. As I said earlier, "Hey now". You don't usually act like a know-it-all meany, what gives man? They'll have a rough month or two, especially with Lester not being Lester in April. There are going to be injuries. It happens. But they have quality replacements. And the Yankees and Rays are arguably worse, and considering Macdonald, Patterson, Hall, and Cash were such big parts of the 2010 team I see no reason to feel pessimistic about 2011.
  7. This. This. This. This.
  8. Hey now. I read this wayyy back when, and generally don't have genius-like long term memory. Not only that, I was referring to the more recent posts. How many people absolutely freaked out about Pedroia... before we realized the problem wasn't directly from the problem area, but just from immobilization? Until we have words from the mouths of people who know what's going on, or hear some spring training reports, there is no reason to believe the recovery timetables were wrong.
  9. Agreed. For all the negative press we've seen on injury concerns about our infielders, it is starting to sound more and more like they'll be fine.
  10. RSFFL is a good poster usually. I doubt its a permaban.
  11. But at the same time, its incredibly annoying when someone is constantly saying "Until we see this actually happen, and know for certain, we shouldn't discuss it, because no one knows" especially when there is a good discussion going on.
  12. I don't see the Cardinals going anywhere unless they keep Carpenter and Pujols AND give them some more help.
  13. I'd take Smoltz over Colon any day of the week.
  14. Wait, so they're spending big money on Liverpool? That money would have been better spent on Cliff Lee! Just kidding.
  15. I doubt it. My first guess would be that Pierre is on his fantasy team.
  16. Clearly I'm too young, but I think he's just had a helluva lot to work with talent-wise. Average coaching skills, above average ballclub skills.
  17. If the steal leader isn't from the Red Sox, I will be sorely disappointed.
  18. Agreed, take away Crawford's speed, and his value is cut down by 90%.
  19. I have a friend from Pittsburgh. From what I gather, the Red Sox and Yankees each play one series in Pittsburgh roughly around once every 5-10 years. So, when you have one of the two most popular franchises coming into town for a very rare series in Pittsburgh, tickets get sold quick, and since its a weekend game, that doesn't help anything. She doesn't get to a lot of games, but when the Yankees were there last year, she made sure to get tickets. I don't personally know anyone traveling to Pittsburgh, but Sox fans have been known to travel, and its not much different in distance than Toronto/Baltimore. Also, not all tickets went on sale yesterday.
  20. Did the ps3 service ever get fixed? When I used it last season it had serious serious lag issues.
  21. If I'm avoiding Ace Ticket, its convenient for me:D
  22. Well, I usually can't predict those kinds of things, so I lined it up as best I could. And after picking up a pair for the Apr 12 for a game, I figured, hell, for 40 bux, why not buy another set, so I'm heading to the game on May 9th against the Rangers as well.
  23. Oh man, they sell $12 tickets still? I can't believe I just got a pair of Sox tickets--To a Rays game, no less--for that cheap today. Sure, there is 16 dollars worth of convenience fees.... but still, a day at fenway for $40? Edit: Oh s***. I was really excited to get tickets for a day that looks like Lester will be pitching... but Lester in April. Yikes. Curt Young, answer my prayers.
