    Victorino should have gunned Lind down at home -- he wasn't even past 3B when he got to it.

    JA Happ, Josh Johnson on the DL for extended periods of time. Morrow scratched. Dickey and Buerhle struggling big time. Romero seems like he's just about done. I'm starting to feel sorry for them. Their 140 million dollar shortstop is on the DL, they sabotaged their team's future, trading away four top 100 prospects (three of which in the 50 range). And you know what? They're 10 games back on the division... which wouldn't be a huge problem this early, but they're 10 games back on three different teams.

    I just got home-- glad to hear Lester dominated, saved the bullpen, and got the win. Its hard not to be optimistic about this pitching staff. Lester-Buchholz-Dempster-Lackey all have ERAs in the 2's. Hopefully the 5th spot won't be a huge problem, but it looks like there might be a few solid pitchers available at the deadline as well. Peavy, Vargas, David Price, Norris, Tommy Hanson, Johnson, Garza all seem like possibilities now.
