  1. Guess we're even for that Mauer double that was called a foul last year.
  2. http://nomaas.org/2010/10/end-of-season-top-10-10-prospects/
  3. What about Buchholz and Lowrie as the starting point for a big A-Gon deal? I've heard for some time that Lowrie was Hoyer's boy. I really think they ask for Rizzo then too and plug him at 1B. You still have Lars Anderson you can deal away for another RP part. Followed by an arm with upside in Drake Britton or Alex Wilson. Padres send to you A-Gon, Joe Thatcher and Yorvit Torrealba. I know that seems like a lot but the Padres want a lot haha and they'll be people coming after Gonzalez. Blue Jays, IMO could be a sleeper with here, same with O's. O's make almost too much sense here. This deal is assuming he's willing to sign long term there . You get your legit 1B for the next 6+ years. A good set up man and a good backup catcher or even starter if you don't upgrade. If I had to guess and a place where A-Gon will be and I can't say the Padres, I'd say the O's. Something like Tillman, Hobgood, Snyder and Givens
  4. MLBTR chat had a little thing about a Napoli for Ellsbury swamp, but Tim suggested only if the Angels missed out on Crawford. could slide him into 1B, move Youk to 3B then.
  5. I have Marshall at 10th on my list, but I could actually see him make it into the top 5 next year, even with new talent coming in. I really like him. Here's a recent update from TYU on the spect rankings http://www.theyankeeu.com/2010/09/fall-2010-top-30-yankee-prospects-ranking-21474 Not a bad list, I wouldn't have Curtis on my list, but meh. I hate Joseph being that far back too. Segedin's comments are interesting, I had no idea he could be a top 5 talent in our system if he's healthy. I heard Callis or Manuel say he was better than Cox from the Cards, but I kind of brushed it off.
  6. I didn't mean the same stuff as Dellin, I meant coming back form TJS and breaking out into a legit prospect.
  7. Yeah? I've heard about Cabrera and Calderon from scout.com, Agramonte from just looking at stats and him popping out, but yeah Santana looks good too. Hopefully they all continue to make progress and we see another 2010 in 2011 in terms of prospect progression. I'm hoping Marshall sets himself up as a legit pitcher next year a la Betances. Jose Ramirez breaking out wouldn't be too surprising either. Hoping Gumbs, Segedin and Williams show they have legit talent.
  8. Yeah during the playoffs guys were saying how he looked like he had no energy. Oh well he's got a few weeks to rest up before AFL haha
  9. I just have a weird feeling the Yankees will dangle Romine this winter. I guess I can see why they brought him to the AFL, he's tired but he needs to grind it out. You talked about how he cooled off in the second half. Probably was tired and if we continue to push him he'll be more used to it next year.
  10. Didn't know about the 97 wow, that's a big plus there.
  11. Yankees seem to be shifting more towards JR Murphy even with his so-so year. Scouts are starting to like him better than Romine.
  12. You know I didn't think the Sox system was this good until I filled out my top 10. Not as good as the Yankees, but still haha
  13. Mine and I don't view your system all that often... 1. Ranaudo, really like him. I think the potential to be an all star is there and a front line starter. 2. Kalish, another guy I respect in the system. I don't think he's going to blow the world away but he's got some upside to him. 3. Westmoreland. He's be number if it wasn't for his issues but I still like him a lot. The chance he does come back 100% makes him No 3 for me. 4. Iglesias not sold on the bat just yet, but I heard some very good things about his glove. 5. Kelly, just not a fan. 6. Rizzo, I think he's a solid prospect here. Everyone is getting hard over his homers but he is a 1B so I tend to tone down the hype a tad. 7. Fuentes, potenial five tool player, sure the potential isn't that great but still a chance and I'm a gambling man. 8. Lavarnway, hitter but is he a catcher? 9. Tejeda, liked him in the 2006 ifa class, still like him. 10. Britton, he's going to be in the big leagues. Middle roto, backend or middle reliever is up in the air but I still like him. Not a fan of Anderson at all. I actually forgot about Doubront but I'd have him around 6-7
  14. 2008 you had Kelly and Price. Kelly is looking like a middle of the roto SP, which isn't a bad thing. Price doesn't look like a 1st rounf talent. 2007 you had Hagadone who I've always liked and Dent who looks like a wasted pick. 2006 you had Place, Bard, Clay and Johnson. Bard is a stud, but the rest are meh. 2005 you had Buchholz, Ellsbury, Lowrie, Bowden and Hansen. Hansen is out of baseball I think. Lowrie and Bowden don't scream 1st round talent but they could help in lesser roles like as a UTL player and a middle reliever. Buchholz and Ells were hits, obviously. Even in 2009 with Fuentes, it's too early to say for certain but he hasn't seperated himself yet. Thats 13, or 14 if you count Fuentes first round picks in five years.... Kelly, Hagadone(who is with the Guardians), Bard, Ells abd Buchholz were your hits. I'm not saying the Yankees are good drafters either.
  15. I do like your list haha. Mind if I ask what do you think Kelly's ceiling is? Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc
  16. How are you basing it off of? Like potential or reachable potential or maybe even a different way? I like your list if its reachable potential, but just poential overall, Ranaudo has to be no 1.
  17. I'm always interested to see other teams prospects lists. It gives me a better idea on their farm and I think everyone has fun filling out lists haha. So if you have your own top 5, 10, 20, 3, etc post it.
  18. Altoona and Trenton really going at it right now 2-2 in the top of the 10th. Brackman backed up Pettitte, going 4IP 1H 1BB 3K, still could come back out.
  19. At the start of the year we had a pick 5 prospects who will gain ground in terms of how they are viewed as a prospect. I went with Betances, Brackman, B. Mitchell, Higgy and Suttle. I was wrong sadly about Higgy, but the other four were pretty good picks imo. Suttle really turned it on in the second half of the season and was our best hitter during the FS playoffs. hopefully he doesn't get picked in the rule 5 draft.
  20. The problem I have with the system and they looked to of corrected it this year, is that they don't really have any hitters other than catchers. I look at 1B, SS, 3B and even the OF and I don't see any real deals. 2B is even kind of meh, although I do love CoJo I'm not sure if I'm overrating him or what. Hopefully Gumbs, Williams and Segedin change that.
  21. If the Thunder holds on, Brackman should start game one. Who is the 5th starter?
