  1. Nope, I actually went by TheHugeUnit over at DHB. He had to know teams were going to offer him insane amounts of money. I'm just saying by the time he makes his pick the Sox could end up setting their team while the Yankees have to go from Lee forward. Cashman has stated it's handcuffing his offseason plans. He just wants to be in the spotlight as long as he can, which was rumored during the winter meetings, he wanted to be the ring master during it.
  2. I'm not going to lie, right now Cliff Lee is a scum bag. He's taking way to long to pick, it's really making me mad and I never get mad.
  3. Finese pitchers are usually the ones you want as they get older, they are like wine. Unlike fastball pitchers like Burnett. Lee pitches with intelligence which will grow, Burnett pitches with velocity which fades.
  4. he wanted 4.5mill with 2 to 3 mill in incentives from the dodgers while trying to work out a deal. I'd assume since he has the Yankees-Red Sox bidding for him he'd want something like 2/10 with 5 mill in incentives.
  5. Sox got Crawford http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2010/12/red-sox-agree-to-sign-carl-crawford.html
  6. It's boston though, so it's going to be a 350lb guy with man boobs.
  7. He should cause the Yankees will add $10 million to it.
  8. This isn't a guess to someone's list it's just mine. I like Ranaudo a lot. Yeah I might put Younginer in there over Middlebrooks, who I'm not high on. I couldn't really pin down a 10th guy so I just put Middlebrooks there.
  9. Any updates after the big trade? I'm more of a purist when it comes to this too so if a guy has legit time in the majors I don't list them. 1. Ranaudo 2. Iglesias 3. Britton 4. Cecchini 5. Lavarnway 6. Vitek 7. Stonly 8. Workman 9. Navarro 10. Middlebrooks Solid system might be below 20 now, but still has a little kick left in it to make a solid addition via a trade.
  10. Well I don't think he is but if he does let's start with what we have. An ace in CC. A fine starter in Hughes who is still what 23 or 24? AJ is AJ, but I love the hiring of Rothschild it's like a special order pitching coach for AJ. I think he suits him very well, im excited to see what he does with AJ. Nova could be the 5th starter and make adjustments mduring the season or what not. Who could we add? As I said before, Chein Ming Wang would be at the top of my list.
  11. You guys know if lee goes to the nats we aren't getting grienke correct?
  12. You took a chance... You traded for him and thought he'd accept a good deal to play for a winning team but he didn't want to play for nothing. It was a low risk, high reward type deal.
  13. Someone is going to offer Lee 7 years... I'm guessing it's the Nats and they come out of no where and sign him. Just a guess, but meh.
  14. Zach McAllister is a perfect example of what Lars Anderson can bring back. McAllister was once a top 5 Yankees prospect. I think even two years in a row. I remember being excited about him, but last year was the first year he didn't put up numbers and it showed in the return. We got Austin Kearns for him.
  15. He cost your two best prospects and a solid guy in Fuentes and let's see who the PTBNL is, might be a guy like Workman. I actually thought the Padres did well with the trade, it was only a season of gonzalez.
