  1. The best records in the AL is the best records in the AL. It's not like we're at risk for losing a playoff spot any time soon.
  2. No problem man, it's a matter of training, (think Michael Phelps) that makes you a star.
  3. 7 pints of CANADIAN beer brother. That's about 10 pints American beer
  4. I apoligize if I'm out of line because I'm 7 pints in. But I basically feel the same about people who complained about the Red Sox the entire game.
  5. Umps get calls wrong all the time. They've cost the Red Sox plenty of games this year as well.
  6. Consiering Pedrroia had a personal day, Drew had a day off and Kontsay is day-to-day, I'm not too worried about the offense. Lowell and Lowrie are due back after the All-Star break so in my personal opinion that's even less reason to worry.
  7. No he didn't, he scored 6 goals in 11 games. And he only scored in 1 game against the Canes. That's not "thriving" by any stretch of the imagination. You might want to look up stats before you talk next time.
  8. I totally realize this is one game. That's why I wasn't claiming it was over in the 4th inning or claiming it meant our offense sucks. Every comment I made passed this off as one game and pointed to the fact that we have Beckett, Wakefield, Penny, Lester starting in our next games. Multiple times I mentioned the fact that we scored over 5 runs a game against the Mariners who lead the league in ERA and I tipped my cap to Anderson rather than claiming our offense sucks.
  9. Absolutely nobody is complaining that Kessel is "light-hitting". The complaint is that he scored 81% of his goals against the worst teams in the NHL.
  10. I agree. But in my opinion, stating that the game is over in the 4th inning when we just scored over 5 runs+ a game against the best ERA in the AL is pink hat territory.
  11. You gave me pom-poms for claiming the game wasn't over in the 4th inning. I gave you a pink hat for claiming the game was somewhow over in the 4th inning. Honestly, which one was more ridiculous? Congrats, you're 1-1 in games when the Red Sox are down by at least 3 runs in the 9th. I'm sure in your strange mind, that's something to be proud of. But in real life that's pretty lame. I don't support the team all the time. I've said this homestand was disappointing when the Red Sox were down late in the game. But to say the game's over in the 4th inning when we just averaged over 5 runs a game against the best ERA in the AL is reactionary, pink hat territory.
  12. Yeah, I'm convinced that I'm bad luck for the Red Sox. I've seen 4 games this year and the Red Sox have gone 1-3. I won't be going to any more Red Sox games.
  13. http://blog.masslive.com/redsoxmonster/2008/07/medium_pinkhat.jpg I'd rather support the Sox regardless of the situation then just support them when they're doing well and constantly whine and bitch when they aren't. Calling the game over when the team's down by 4 runs in the 4th inning is inexcusable in my book. You pulled the same bull in game 3 of the Orioles series and ate your words. If you cant stand watching all 9 innings of a game, then don't turn the game on until 8 or 9.
  14. I saw a few good pitches the A's got hits off. But I also saw plenty of bad pitches the A's made outs on.
  15. Me neither, because they've hit pretty similarly this year. But Baldelli has been a legit major league hitter this year.
  16. You realize, he's hit better than Pedroia, right? Don't tell me you're disappointed whenever we put Pedey in the lineup.
  17. Glad we're on the same page.
  18. I agree, it's hard to get too upset about a loss when Beckett's pitching tomorrow (and Wakefield, Penny, Lester after him aren't slouches either).
  19. Yeah, you don't pitch a 2 hit shutout on accident, no matter how badly the opposing team is hitting (We did average over 5 runs a game against Seattle, who holds the best ERA in the league).
  20. Anderson pitched really well, you gotta hand it to him.
