  1. You're right, my bad. He's listed as an outfielder (WTF?) on the 40-man. I just checked the infielders.
  2. No, he's not. Carter is a backup player at best. He has a good bat for a minor leaguer but can't play defense. He's basically a roster filler.
  3. Sounds like we're kindred spirits. I like to think it will make me live longer
  4. Last year's first round draft pick Casey Kelly just made his last start of the season. He went 6 innings, giving up 6 hits, 1 run and 1 walk while striking out 5. I believe his ERA on the year is under 2.00 now. He'll play the rest of the year as a shortstop (his preferred position).
  5. Tea-haaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!
  6. I haven't been to a gym since high school. That's the most boring way to work out I could imagine. I do a lot of hiking/walking places though. I also do some running/riding my bike and some push ups/crunches when the Red Sox have a bad loss.
  7. That one's LOOOOOOOOOOOONG GONE! Cuddyer CRUSHED a ball to left. 3-1 Yanks
  8. Yankees have been pretty lucky this inning. An infield single to move the runner to third, a sac fly, another infield single and now a broken bat dribbler that gets through the infield to plate another run. They're up 3-0.
  9. I'm 5'6'' and I wear size 12's. My friends call me a hobit. Doesn't help that I have hairy feet.
  10. It's gotten to the point where I little laugh/giggle out loud every time I read that name.
  11. Kennedy hit a decent pitch. I'd say Beckett got screwed over on the 2 runs scored against him but that's Beckett's own damn fault for walking the number 9 hitter. Still, he made a nice rebound.
  12. Sac fly for Cervelli. It was fair by about a foot so Span had to catch it and allow the run to score. 2-0 Yanks
  13. Some good at bats by the Oakland hitters. Beckett's at 76 pitches now.
  14. I don't know, it's kind of awkward when your face is never within a foot of theirs
  15. He was also a shortstop, and there were some major concerns about his defensive ability at that position. But the Red Sox, being the evil geniuses they are, moved him to second (imagine that!) and now he's a gold glover.
