  1. This is how I feel almost exactly. I really do not understand what a possible Garza deal would entail but I believe it is the best possible SP acquisition. I voted neither.
  2. Well, the last I saw of him was in 2010 and he looked as though he was a functional MLB arm. It was my understanding that he was going down to Pawtucket to be stretched out. That is to say to allow him to become accustomed to throwing more pitches / innings. I wish I knew the nature of his arm problems. If he is healthy, I think, as User has pointed out, that he should be able to fill the roll of mid-relief and spot starting. He was able to go at least 4, maybe 5 innings before. As for the nuptials, yes, I am a two time loser. I have one really nice ex-wife, and one sociopathic C-word on my dossier. Number three is a wonderful young woman and as a few member here know, a smokeshow. I hope to tie the knot within 4 months.
  3. I have to figure out how to block this thread. Other than Soxport, non of it is readable. Oye. Edit. And Pal.
  4. This makes no sense. Good first post though.
  5. As you are probably aware, I did not spend much time paying attention to baseball last year. What happened to Doubront? He showed very good potential. I would like to think that potential is still there but I have no knowledge of his health. Can someone clue the old man in?
  6. I always liked Manny Delcarmen. He grew up in Boston (Hyde Park, I believe). There was definitely hype about him. And why not? Local grown talent always gets attention because it is a good story. He was always a nice young man and very competitive. I hope he finds his way back to MLB. Even if it is with the Yankees.
  7. Please use the word please when making a request of another poster. Thank you.
  8. This is not necessarily the case in all instances.
  9. It is a curious situation. Again, I will state that the FO is content to create the perception that this organization is championship driven. When in fact, those rich boys just don't give a s***. They own a major league team to message their egos and make as much money as possible (if they can). Good for them. I guess? Viva capitalism.
  10. :lol::lol: Exactly.
  11. f*** the"LT". Why should I care what penalties those rich **********s have to pay for their greed.
  12. Where the f*** is my popcorn?
  13. I agree. Plus he played hurt and with heart. We don't see that to often either. You may recall that I was against signing the guy. Especially when Gonzales went to the Jays for cheap money. I must say that I always enjoyed watching Scutaro play for my team.
  14. You are most certainly welcome!
  15. Welcome to The Rogue State of Red Sox Nation.
