  1. Glad he got out of the 1st with only 18 pitches thrown.
  2. Porcello has not gotten off to a great start walking the first batter. I wonder how long he will be in this game?
  3. Not off to a great start Porcello. GO SOX!!!
  4. I don't believe that Fred had anything to do with Buch s***ing all over himself last night. But I do wonder why Fred ignores the rules of GT. He has done this before and it is irritating. Fred if you do not want to fulfill your obligation to start GTs until the team loses, why bother starting any at all? Being the Dean Of Talksox you should do better.
  5. I'm with you on that.
  6. I wonder if JBJ can pitch? He does have a strong arm!!!!!!
  7. Hannigan does have good ABs and he does get on base. More so than some black holes we have had behind the plate.
  8. I cringe when I see some of the pitches that he swings at. But then he drills a bad bitch to the wall and I get confused.
  9. Buch is a f***ing nightmare. He just plain sucks. He has had plenty of chances to prove that he can be good consistently and has failed to do so.
  10. Yeah that would not have been the case if Marcus Strohman had not blown out his arm. I was looking forward to watching him pitch. Sucks for the Jays but tough s***.
  11. That is strange and too bad. Behind closed doors? I have never heard of that.
  12. Why keep on insisting that others take a bet on an issue that they do not agree with you on? Even if they bet lose it does not make you more right. Personally, I only bet when I am 100% sure that I am right. Betting does not indicate that one is more confident or more correct, either.
  13. As far back as I can remember the vast majority on this board could not wait to criticize Salty for one thing or another. Aside from his inability to throw well he was a productive player with doubles power. I hope that he catches on somewhere soon.
  14. I found this amusing little gem on BDC. dragqueenbunter April 28, 2015 — 08:27 AM FROM THE TRAINER'S ROOM "Red Sox: Mike Napoli was out of the lineup because he was sick. ..." Pueblo Mendoza infirmary. Dr. Felipe Mendoza to patient lying in bed: "Ju know ju running muy low fiebre [fever]. Ju need rest en rub este "clear" medicina all over ju body." Mike Napoli [.167]: "Doc, whatever it takes I'll do it. My teammates are counting on me to produce and I'm just not cutting it right now. [1 HR/4 Ribbies]" Dr. Mendoza: "Ju got that right! [turns to next patient] En how ju feeling today mister?" Daniel Nava: "Not so good doc. I'm down to .167 and it's dropping fast." Dr. Mendez: "No problema...I see dis sickness a lot in April and by June ju goin' feel like new. " [calls out to nurse Olivia Juanita Hernandez de Mendoza] "Geev este muchacho dos pills rojo y dos pills blanco. Andale!!" [Peers down at chart for next patient and reads aloud] "Chain..Chane..Cain...how ju pronounce ju name, senor?" patient lifts head and in a raspy whisper responds: "It's Shane...with an 'S'. Shane Victorino [bA .143].....[cough] [cough] When am I going to get out of here doc? I know if Farrell just gives me a chance I can do better. I'm not done, not yet." Dr. Mendoza: "We haf instructiones to move ju to isolation. We no want ju infect the other players. Comprende? Hey, ju look muy familiar..ju familia from Oaxaca?" Victorino: "No, I'm from Oahu...Oahu, Hawaii..............and I think I'm going to throw...[big retching sound as camera turns away] Dr. Mendoza: [looking toward corner of infirmary at pale, listless figure hooked up to ventilator calls out to nurse Olivia Juanita Hernandez de Mendoza] "Olivia....Me think es time we pull de plug on dis one...way don ju go ahead en do it now, hokay? I gone notify Senor Cherington ese hombre es beyon' help." Nurse Olivia Juanita Hernandez de Mendoza moves toward the listless patient and glances down at his wristband. Craig, Allen before snipping the band off. The cold surgical steel on Craig's skin arouses him briefly and realizing his predicament he weakly tears away the intubation life support device croaks out...."But I'm not dead yet. Pleeeaaasseeeeeee.............." Dr. Mendoza: "JU will be, bery bery soon. Lo siento Senor Craig but Mendoza infirmary es no morgue...es for de living."
  15. I fully agree!!!!
  16. It just came to me. I was not advocating it. I was just wondering if there was any talk of it. I think that overall he continues to have good ABs and he seems to get on base at least once each game. Last night was what we have seen before his slump. I think the confidence gained by his showing last night should help him get back on track. In any case, it is always good to have a lead off hitter getting on base.
  17. I consider Salty a key component in a Sox championship drive and he was always a model citizen while playing for the Sox. Why anyone hates on him is just childish and stupid. Have fun with that.
  18. He threw a baseball. Hope that helps you to find the truth.
  19. The Sox are still in this game. Too bad Kelly puked up 5 runs so early.
  20. f*** the Cards and their pretentious fans.
  21. I said move him down in the order, not down 95.
  22. That's too bad. Things just did not go well for him in Miami since starting out with injury.
