    Another spectacular diving catch by Castillo. Now we can expect another boob maneuver. Kelly is at 100 through 5 and may be close to done. I hate seeing him put the lead-off hitter on especially with walks but today he deserves better from his defense. He should be about 20-25 pitches shy of where he is at.

    NO! I have no idea what happened. I live next to RT.1 There was a cop car out there for about two hours or more. That may have had something to do with it. Most of the sat channels are not working. My guess is that the box that controls the sat system needs a boot. But the guy who does that has today off!!!! I called the complex office but they have not called me back. Balls.

    I'm pissed! We experienced two power outages last night where I live. Now the satellite feed is ( Direct TV ) is limited to only a few channels. I have no NESN now. I have no way of correcting this as the feed is controlled by the property management. Now I am watching the game on-line at some place called http://www.strikeout.co There is poor video quality and some jiteryness.

    I believe that he makes his off season home there and has done so since he went to school there. But who knows? Maybe he would really like to be a manager.

    I like Jacko's ideas but I don't see this team making those moves. I think the org is too dedicated to Papi to declare him a platoon hitter for one. For two, moving the two big FA acquisitions that way would sort of be admitting that their plan was f***ed up and a mistake. Believe it or not, teams, especially the Sox, allow egos to interfere with sound reasoning. At least that is what I suspect. I will not be surprised if Nap is gone at the end of the year and one of the two big FA is playing 1st base next year. Obviously if Papi is gone Hanley would replace him at DH. Has anyone looked at Hanleys arms? They are f***ing massive. Bigger and more defined than Papi's. His whole body is way too big to be a middle infielder. No wonder he sucks at it.

    What if he pitches just well enough to warrant another start in the manager's eyes? I don't think that he deserves to start today, much less continue in the rotation. But the powers that be may.

    I have to believe that Ortiz is 39 because he would not have been granted citizenship without proper documentation. As for Castillo, pretty much the same goes for him with immigration.

    It's hard to argue against anything he said. Although my bet is Pedroia wants to move back to Arizona permanently.

    How can it be made better ( aside from pitching, that is ) now that the big money was burned on two guys that are not producing, an aging power hitter and overpaid, underdeveloped talent in at least one other position? If all of those guys can not find a way to up their games this year will be very ugly. What a shame.

    On paper he was an ideal fit. And he did play pretty well, overall. But he was never a good fit on that team.
