    I remember talking about this ambi pitcher with Jacko back when he was playing single A or double AA ball for the Yankees on Long Island or wherever. I don't think that anyone was expecting him to be anything more than a novelty then.

    Farrell has kept both Sandoval and Ortiz out against the lefty Kazmir. Hanley as DH. Unfortunately some of this is negated by having Diaza ( or whatever his name is ) who is a lefty play left field. I am hoping for the best.

    I am very sorry to hear that people at school are teasing you. This last week when talking with my 12 year old daughter for the first time in 4 weeks ( I am a divorced dad ) she revealed that some kids had been making fun of her for whatever reason. I reminded her how proud I am that she is my Daughter and that she is a wonderful person. I then told her that if she could no longer ignore them to respond by telling them that at least she has a functioning cerebellum. Of course most of the kids will not know what that is. But that's cool because their biggest problem with my Daughter is that she has a 105 average in all of her classes. They resent her being smart when they are mediocre students. Kids bully for a variety of reasons, I guess. I know it hurts Thunder. You just have to be confident that you are much farther along the path of becoming a life long good person than those that choose to make fun of you. So f*** THEM. And the horses they rode in on.

    This is most unfortunate but true. Coming into today's game the starters had allowed what, 3 earned runs in the previous 3 or 4 games? Everyone has a boner for Rodriguez and justifiably so. However, the rest of the guys ( minus Cy ) have been very good too. What a shame that this team is now so dysfunctional that it could not take advantage.

    Bingo. I have spoken about a culture of losing many times. This team just doe not expect to win now and it seems to be a self fulfilling emotion.

    Poor throw but Sandoval should have had it. He is making a fool of himself today. Fat or not, he is not very good and I do not care what stats may appear to disprove my assessment. He blows.

    He should know what to do when at this stage of his career. Everyone can make a mistake and have a brain fart now and then. Hanley does it with alarming frequency for a major league player. He is not worth the money he is paid in my opinion. If he were producing more positive results that help the team win it would be different.

    Do players actually get berated by anyone in the dougout when this type of thing happens? I can't remember seeing anyone do it in a long time.

    Just awful base running. Hanley is a total f***ing airhead. I have no idea why Nap was sent. Just not good baseball.

    I am not a fan of Panda's defense at all. It may not be a result of being obese but the guy just does not move well enough to either side and then just uncorks bad throws. He is no better than Middlebrooks in that regard as far as I am concerned. It just cost the team the tying run. Ugh.

    Thanks for the input. I just remember all the talk about him being the local boy that makes good and of course will the Twins extend him. I should look at his stats. It just seam that he is way off with output and that's a shame.

    You have a point. Of all the useful and interesting data Kimmi has posted those stood out as somewhat suspect. It does seem like way less balls are stung in the gap and make it to the wall on the ground or in the air. About a month ago I posted that Panda did not have any doubles or something like that. And Hanley was not much better. Now they do have some xbh but not many. Ad that to Papi's woes, add in Napoli and the entire middle of the order is completely anemic. The big guns have just not gotten it done.
