    This is all true. But making roster decisions based on emotion and sentiment is not a great way to operate. I love what Pedroia has done for this team. But his best days are probably in the past. If they could manage to get anything useful for him they should do it. They dumped Nomar and he was a God in this town. Imagine if they could move Papi. That would make some decisions easier to make.

    What MVP said about Pedro being brilliant is so true. The guy is wicked smart. I have never heard him sound stupid. I was always amazed at how strong and powerful Pedro was and for so long with what I see as a somewhat slight frame and build. His brain and his ability to focus in on his pitches always seemed to make batters either intimidated or confused. I've seen a bunch of extremely talented and "dominant" pitchers over the years including Bob Gibson, Juan Marichal , and Vida Blue. Pedro was just the best. And I don't say that as a homer Sox fan. GO SOX!!!!!!!1!1

    I was about to say essentially this. ERod has a way to go yet. Ben needs to go get arms. He should be very aggressive. I really doubt that a "young, controllable" ACE type is available. So I'm watching the TD deals for pitchers of all ages. I am hoping that if pitchers are moved that they don't sign long term deals until FA this fall. Ben needs to go big twice in my eyes. Otherwise this team is f***ed for next year too.

    Just heard Pedroia say that he will be having a PRP injection Monday. I don't know if this is a proven technique or not. But as long as I don't have to pay for it I don't mind!

    I'm okay with that IF he is not the only big name starter that the Sox get. Also, I don't want to loose trade pieces now that we could use later. Especially if more SP talent will "only" cost money in the post season. I won't cry if the Sox get him now. I would just prefer someone like Cueto or Price.

    You have misinterpreted what I said. I don't care if you rag on Papi. I have done it plenty of times here. You will see that most here love the guy regardless of what he does now because he has been such a big part of the Sox success. Conversely, Fat Boy has done NOTHING positive since being here.
