  1. Not at all Bell. I have some Padres camo shirts already to go!
  2. Where did you hear this?
  3. The Sox have been very quiet as the deadline approaches. I am curious as to why there has been no movement or even reported interest in Allen Craig. Maybe it's his bargain contract that scares teams off? Maybe the Sox plan on sticking with him as Napoli is either disposed of somehow or his contract just expires. I don't see Graig as a solid replacement option at 1st going forward. Maybe the Sox and some here do? If Craig is being counted on for next year I think that the Sox are making another mistake. Get rid of him if you can.
  4. The guy has been a workhorse for this team. Overall, the best reliever of the past 5-6 years. Trading him would be very dumb.
  5. You will learn that RBI is a useless stat according to Talksox experts.
  6. It's just under performance.
  7. I've said this a ton of times, The Sox really started to f*** things up when they did not make sure to sign Lester soon after the 2013 World Series. They compounded this failure by blowing up the rotation almost entirely. Loosing both Lester and Lackey was avoidable and really, really bad business.
  8. For those that do not believe that a run should have been scored last night, here is our illustrious manager on the matter: "Farrell said that even though there were no outs at the time and the Sox trailed by six runs, he understood why third-base coach Brian Butterfield elected to send Sandoval. "Where the ball was picked up -- recognizing nobody was out -- where the ball was picked up in relation to where he was on the basepaths, that's a run that should score," said Farrell, who asserted Sandoval had passed the halfway point between second and third when right-fielder Avisail Garcia picked up the ball." This is what I tried to convey. Forget that Butterfield may or may not be good at his job and that a green light with the score 6-0 and no outs is a bad idea. A game ready athlete scores on this play. Fatboy is not game ready.
  9. Our future is secure. This team is bound for glory in 2016!!!!!!
  10. Good for the Rangers. Now they can pay for dead contracts too.
  11. Sox base running this season has been pretty bad. Mookie has been fun to watch but even he has had a few brain farts. Nice stroke by Nap.
  12. Very true. However the ball was underneath the padding of the right field fence when Fatboy approached 3rd. He had plenty of time, as the 3rd base coach saw it. Fatboy was gassed. That does not happen to a player of his height if he weighs 40-60 pounds less. Right or wrong call, a player should have scored on that play.
  13. And one playoff appearance in six years. Good point.
  14. As an example, Napoli probably would have beat that throw. The Sox need to score runs. He just is not good enough.
  15. Fatboy approached 3rd with enough time to score. He just can not run as fast as expected. Not his fault though!!!!! He will rebound next year.
  16. There is another reason a 300 pound player should not be on this team. I decent athlete scores on that play. Pitiful.
  17. Nah. He's mainly a rube. But he did do some great stuff here in Boston.
  18. Yes. That's it. Their hitters must be tired. I'm also hoping that Goldie Locks has been given the night off. He had to run around like a mad man last night chasing all those hits to left and to left center ( not that he caught up with one of those, mind you! )..The slugger needs a blow!!!
  19. You've got it all wrong. The Sox want to corner the market on High Twitch Muscles. 72 mil is not much for that. Is it?
  20. At least you could have let him have the last word. That's all he wants. Jeez.
  21. Not if he is overwhelmed by the challenges of his transition to this country. His endeavor is unprecedented!!!!!! Very few people have to endure such hardship!!!!! What is wrong with you? Have you no compassion or empathy for others?????
  22. Porcello (5-10) vs. Quintana (5-9) Yay!!!! GO SOX!!!!!!1!!11
  23. Castillo did not play for about 1.5 years prior to being signed. That is just a fact. I was not being harsh. He has played games in AA, Arizona, and the Puerto Rican winter league. Now he has played games in spring training, AAA, and with the Sox. He has had plenty of time to shake off the rust and acquire his timing. He should be healthy now, too. I don't buy the idea that he is still becoming adjusted to his new environment. It's time for him to put out.
