  1. Band aid approach to a lifetime of over eating. The guy is a disgrace to baseball.
  2. Every dog has his day, I have heard. In any case it sure is fun seeing the Sox tag opposing pitching for a change. GO SOX!!!11!!!
  3. This information is not on the chart because it is accurate.
  4. Errors are errors.
  5. f***ing west coast games!!!! That is one good thing about my hospital stay. I saw all the Sox games. Of course the bastards charged me $5./day so I could. As Kimmi said, tough mach ups. GO SOX!!!!1!!!1!1
  6. Kelly did suck again today. Funny how Shaw has produced so quickly after being not much more than an afterthought in the system. It would go a long way if he could be a real player anytime soon. Maybe he is already.
  7. I don't know the exact dates, of course. But definitely after the post season. Ben implied that they had laid the groundwork with other clubs. I'm not sure much can be said about that until something happens. Your point about Porcello makes lots of sense. I just think it would ask a lot of any team to take on that kind of deal with such poor recent performance. I guess that there is the fact that he is still young and should rebound. That's cool. But any team that snags him is taking a chance. A big chance. It was very dumb to pay him that deal so early. Just dumb.
  8. I thought that I imagined that he said that. Glad to know I haven't lost my mind.
  9. Nice day for Castillo and Bogaerts. Great day for Travis "Shore".
  10. Can you really see any team committing 4/80 on a guy who has been putrid all year? How many teams have that kind of financial flexibility?
  11. Good job. I was wrong, thankfully.
  12. A generous infield hit for Castillo. At least he has good speed and runs to first.
  13. Nice moment for Shaw. Seven run rule in effect?
  14. One would hope so. Or maybe they will strike out swinging.
  15. I doubt that post season performance was the only reason they signed Fatboy. But I am confident that it was part of the decision. The guy is an average player with a big reputation gained mostly during his most recent playoff experience. The Sox needed some new star power and wanted to sign a player with sizzle to market to the dumbed down masses of pink hats. It only make sense. It has to since signing a mediocre player in decline that caries 60-80 pounds more than is healthy clearly was not a good idea by itself. But I guess that the fact that he is an upgrade from WMB makes it all make sense!
  16. A good start by Kelly would be welcome!!!
  17. Obviously I am aware of this. I just do not see the Sox making any significant moves in August. None that will make a huge difference.
  18. Kelly (2-6 , 5.94 ERA) vs. Moore (1-2 , 7.61 ERA) After last night's beat down the scrubs from Petrograd are back for even more humiliation. The Sox may be destined for obscurity this season but they are generous lads who will do their best to share the shame with another team going nowhere. Screw the Devil Rays and that s*** hole city. It's time to show the world that a team from a city known for crack whores and bad seafood is worthless. Cy Kelly will go 3 2/3 innings of dominant ball followed by even more dominance by noodle arm Masterson. Sox win and all is right in The Nation. GO SOX!!11!!
  19. I love how some people on this board are so certain about what they say.
  20. ********. I very much doubt that the Sox will make any substantial or impact moves in August.
  21. Lol. Please don't get me started. The Yankees should start to sweat bullets soon. Both the Jays and Os mad good deals and are on fire. Still, if any team can loose constantly with a seemingly God like powerful lineup, it's the f***ing Jays. I would bet that Iortiz never bets on them to win!
