  1. Me either. GO SOX!!1!!!
  2. Nice throw Fatboy. What a useless tub of goo.
  3. Just roster fodder. He won't be around long.
  4. Sure. If only for a top end pitcher. Otherwise he should stay. He still needs work behind the plate but it is clear that he will hit well in the Majors, I think.
  5. If Shore turn into a pumkin, yes, possibly. Or even 3rd base. He was an infielder converted to catcher, IIRC. I also want Hannigan back as the number 2 catcher.
  6. Porcello may be having a very bad year which is amplified by the Sox dumb extension. But he is by no means a bum. He is a decent back end of the rotation that is currently sucking big time. As Kimmi might say, no one would have expected this type of poor performance from him given his history. Dombrowski is an accomplished MLB GM that seems to be an odd fit in Boston. I have some of Kimmi's concerns but I am glad that the Sox have moved on and look forward to seeing what the guy does.
  7. Fixed that for you Buddie
  8. Just my s*** luck that I went outside for a few and missed 3 runs being scored. Good evening Gents and Phillies.
  9. I think that he should be given the shot at being the #1 catcher for 2016. He was on his way to becoming that when he was hurt. Some here have concluded that he can't hit well enough. I have not seen this at all. I think that given the chance, he can be productive enough. His defense and all that goes with being behind the plate appears ready.
  10. I realize that few people will agree with my idea but I really think that the Sox 2016 OF should be Bradley, Betts, Castillo, and De Aza. Can the Sox really do much better in getting a 4th OF???? He is cheap and plays all facets of the game well. Get rid of Hanley and move on. Of course my idea only works if both Bradley and the stupid Cuban continue to hit for the remainder of this season. In any case, De Aza will be shipped off of just dumped. Too bad.
  11. This is very harsh of you. Clearly he is still in the throws of adjusting to his new life.
  12. And this is why the Sox need to get rid of the lazy bastard. He ain't no stud at the plate and is of little value at all for that kind of money. He can't ( or won't ) play any defense. Just useless. Hopefully some other team is stupid enough to want him.
  13. That article lets Ben off easy.
  14. I assume that Kimmi said a 3 War player was expected because of what Hanley was supposed to do at the plate. I was expecting near league average D from the stiff. I was wrong. He has been just awful. I can be let off the hook because I had not seen Hanley play D at any position more than a few times. The industry experts should get no Mulligan. They should have known better. To me, if you are about 30 and you have been playing MLB ball for about 7 years, you should be able to read and field a ball in the outfield even if you have been an infielder for your entire career. The guy is a f***ing joke and should be jettisoned.
  15. Agreed Bell.
  16. I expect that Dombrowski will attempt to undo some of the mistakes made. Hopefully he will try to unload the two big stiffs first. Starting with Hanley. He has no role on this team at all. If possible get rid of Fatboy too. I don't see Miley as a big mistake. He is serviceable and reasonably priced. Porcello? I still have hopes that he can be another serviceable rotation piece. The extension was premature and unnecessary. I don't know what can be done about that.
  17. Hanley and Fatboy are first!!!
  18. Maybe they made it up but last night the guys on Comcast were talking about it. I can only report what I have heard or read. I did not make this s*** up. And true or not, it sounds very plausible.
  19. The clowns on Comcast were discussing it last night.
  20. Good start. Now have the balls to undo the Hanley / Fatboy mistakes at some considerable cost and move on building a real team.
  21. Yup. The Sox need to come to grips with the fact that this dumb idea has just failed. Every time they run him out there we see bad plays unnecessarily. Last night it was reported that Hanley had refused to take ground balls at 1st. Can't say that I am surprised by this at all. I say cut the lazy entitled f***. And I would refuse to pay his ass since he refuses to do as he is told. The CBA probably prevents this but it is what should be done in the real world. Somehow the Sox need to unload both of the stiffs and eat about half the money. Moving on will not be possible while these two stiffs drag the team down.
  22. All true. Of course you really do have to watch the games to know this.
  23. Nothing you say is wrong. But this would be a really tough sell to the fan base and more importantly to all the other teams that may have some interest. They must see what we see, too.
  24. More fireworks are needed. GO SOX!!!1!!!
