  1. So it's the front office. Glad to hear you say so. They are stuck with the mess that they allowed Ben to make and to leave. Cool.
  2. lulz
  3. This is stupid. Swihart is not a big problem. If he were, Hannigan would have been the starter in more games. The Sox are a mediocre team going nowhere. I image that every bump in the road from now until they are eliminated will become yet another reason to bitch and point the finger. The real problem is the s***** starting pitching. By the way, why does it seem that the relievers pitch pretty well with Swihart behind the plate? There must be some obscure stat to debunk what I think my eyes see.
  4. Yup. I've been tootin' that horn for a while. Archer is good too.
  5. I can't help but laugh. Poor Pablo.
  6. I have no problem with the topic. I just don't care about him anymore. The guy is a lunkhead who says stupid things too often.
  7. Valid comment. However, there appears to be evidence that the Sox did not have enough info about Castillo before doling out all that money. IIRC they only saw him play once about two years earlier when at the WBC. The scouting info was woefully incomplete, in my opinion. But as you said, not all deals work out. And Abreu type talent sown up for 4-5 years at 10 mil or so would be great. A 29 year old Single A player is not.
  8. Lol. Arguing about Paplebon.
  9. Got to hand it to Hanley. He is getting it done and has become fun to watch. Of course the f***ing lunkhead can still screw it up. I hope not. I doubt that Pablo plays again in Boston. Not as a starter, that is. If that happens it's because Shore or Hanley has or is f***ed up. That would suck. Sox will need to eat this one, I'm afraid. He has had his chances and he f***ing blew it. By the way, I believe it was that last time Pablo was at 3rd base. After a play he was rubbing his left shoulder. I was wondering what would come of that!
  10. Major lulz.
  11. Now please don't assume that I am making excuses for Kelly, BUT he said last nigh, and it was affirmed by Farrell, that the game plane was to get the O's hacking at pitches outside the zone. But they were not biting. This is why he had so many 3 ball counts and full counts. It makes sense. Eck was all over Kelly's s*** for being wild just after making an outstanding pitch. Then Eck heard the interviews and backed off. I certainly don't know enough about executing pitches and pitching strategies. In any case, Kelly had some good moments. He did throw a lot of pitches without a lot of damage other than the dinger.
  12. So Kelly has about 80 pitches in 4 innings. Get ready Noe.
  13. So now we know. Strawberry Cush is responsible for these big dead money contracts. Case solved.
  14. YES! Go Rutledge!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....
  15. Is anyone going to start a new GT? We need some fresh mojo today!
  16. This is how I feel. The poor performance of the rotation so far should not surprise anyone. Especially the FO since they sanctified it for two years.
  17. Doc with all due respect, anyone who can count should realize that trading away a #1 ( Lester ) and a #2 ( Lackey ) would result in the need for a #1 and a #2. Which is what I have been saying since the trades were made. To me, it almost seems as if there has been a saboteur in the Sox FO. Just dumb moves that have been followed up my more dumb moves or even no moves.
  18. I don't get what Farrell is doing with Shore. Why does he keep taking him out? Have any of these moves gained anything at all???
  19. Yes, it does. Some here will undoubtedly continue to say that if this staff pitches to capability or to it's potential or as well as they have in the past, all will be fine. That's the same ******** that was tossed around here a year ago. I keep saying it. I have been saying it since it was a work in process. They should never have blown up the rotation in 2014. They did not have a clear plan to likely success after doing so. Now they can't or won't do what is necessary to completely rebuild the staff. Just dumb.
  20. Or, he is good one day and blows goats the next day. He is inconsistent. And he can't be relied upon for anything.
  21. Nah. You're old with failing eyes and you rely on your ass to decide such things. And because your eyes suck, you can't read the metrics. Fess up geezer.
  22. So Buch did not sleep on his arm last night it appears. Time for some crooked numbers Sox!!!!
  23. I booed Mickey Rivers.
  24. Dickey Albert here. Things are presently just ducky in Sparrow Fart, Ma. That is to say it is currently raining on the Massachusetts - Rhode Island border. It has been raining all day.
