Ben was the GM when Pablo was signed. While this signing reeks of Luchino et al, we have no way of knowing who made the call other than to assume that Henry approved. At the same time, because Cherries was the man in charge of the roster at the time, the signing falls on him. If he wanted Pablo then it's on him. If he did not want Pablo, he should have been far more vociferous in his objection to the idea. So f*** him and the horse that he rode out on. In any case, Pablo has f***ed up at every turn while a Red Sox. It was a horrendous signing. It had failure written all over it before it happened. His declining stats the three previous years are evidence enough of that. Even if you ignore his obesity.

Rosters are continuously in flux. Making moves after 8 games should not surprise anyone. If you see a problem, be proactive and deal with it. That is your job. Good for the Sox and Dombrowski. I bet you like guaranteed contracts. You know. So a position can be had by seniority, not skill or production. Maybe you are wrong again?

Hmm. Very few statement here on talksox are based on facts!!!! I have heard that if you want your kid to be a Major League baseball player, catcher is the best route. No one want to play it and there is less competition. Not sure that is true either. Who f***ing cares? It's baseball. It's just for fun. I think some people on this site should masturbate more. They would be far less likely to take this and themselves so seriously.

I agree. I saw enough of him last year to believe that he belonged in Boston. I assumed 1st base. I am not surprised at all that he has taken to third as well as he has. His size mad me think that he may not have the agility and range to play 3rd. But so far, so good.

I will keep saying this all season, I think. Hanley is the man out there. I did not expect that he would make this kind of contribution defenselessly. And he is not even warmed up with the bat. If he keeps this up he is going to be a big f***ing hit in this town.

It's sunny and about 55 here in Sparrow Fart. It's windy. If it's this windy at Fenway I can imagine some adventurous fly balls in the game today. Other than that, it's a great day for baseball.

I am looking forward to this topic dying down so there will be less belly aching ( pun obviously intended ) about it. Hope he gets his s*** together but I don't care as far as the 2016 Sox are concerned. He has had his chances no matter how one feels.
