The No Brainer has struck once again.
I have caught s*** several times for questioning picking up his $13. mil option. Now, it seems many others are finally fed up with his act.
Someone has suggested that in his next start, Buch will pitch very well. And that is not only possible but likely.
As far as I am concerned, weather it made financial sense to some or not, signing this guy was really not a good idea.
Also, that play at second where Xander was tagged out, lol, I have never seen anything like that in my 50 years of Sox fandom. Crazy s***.
As per ESPN:
Red Sox lineup for series finale vs. Braves: Betts RF, Pedroia 2B, Bogaerts SS, Ortiz DH, Ramirez 1B, Shaw 3B, Young LF, Bradley CF, Vazquez C, Buchholz
I TOLD YOU!!!!! Lol.
I said before his beaning last summer that Wright was going to be a contributing pitcher in 2016.
I'm not surprised at all. Wright has better "stuff " than Wake as well.
I don't think he will continue with the sub 2.00 ERA indefinitely. But I do think that he could make 20+ starts and win 12 or so.
I don't get you. Are you just joking and being sarcastic? If so, you would do well to explain.
Insulting two long time members who have a s*** ton of baseball knowledge and generalizing about all of the rest of us being whiners is not a good way to make friends around here.
'Last night Young batted against a righty when the Sox had Ortiz and Hannigan available.
If Farrell is so concerned about Young getting at bats, why does he bat him against his Kryptonite?
I'm sure others can add many questionable in game decisions.
Off the top of my head, I question the whole Young for Shaw thing.
How can those moves be justified?
Enough of the Light bag lapping.
He is known for two things.
A 97 MPH fastball, and being wild.
It was good to see him get three straight outs after the way he started.
Off to Pawtucket.
I second this opinion.
Ask any GM if he would like Swihart on his team.
A couple of dropped balls does not change that.
He's young, very athletic, and can hit at any level.
That still spells top prospect.
I am not suggesting that Jullian Endelman is the best WR in the NFL but I would strongly suggest that he is by far more important to his team's offense than any of those guys.
Star power is nice.
Production that moves the chains and wins championships mean much more.
Normally I give Farrell the benefit of a doubt. He does things that I just can not understand but I assume that he knows so much more about the game than I do, well, it must be right.
No more of that, though. He just does stupid s*** for stupid reasons.
Now my favorite Sox manager Tito did many such inexplicable moves. Yet when he would explain why he had done so he would concede that it probably was not the right move. Then he would proceed to give a pretty good explanation of his thinking when making that decision. So you could see, at least for a moment that he had a good idea, even if it did not work out.
Farrell, when asked about his moves gives some of the dumbest answers I have heard from any coach or manager.
I respect the hell out of the guy because he does some good things for my team and he is a big time baseball guy.
I don't think that he will be around much longer. Certainly not after this season.
Not sure if you are serious or not but I usually dread seeing the Sox face pitchers that they have not seen before. Maybe it's just coincidence, but I have seen some really weak batting against such pitchers.
Yesterday I saw a tape of Dombrowski discussing Swihart being sent to Pawtucket.
He said that he believed that it was beneficial to have both players on the field. It sound like they really want Swihart to get significant time at another position ( LF? ).
Swihart has a good bat now and with more experience at MLB should be really productive. I'll take that.
I'm glad that he did.
I like the idea of new blood among our membership, but I don't care to hear anyone called names and making penis references almost every post.
Now everyone who knows me will agree that I swear a lot here. But it is usually used as emphasis or as an adjective.
Redundancy is boring.
