  1. Boston.com sports is just awful. The site is next to impossible to navigate and most of the good writers are over at the Globe.com site where they want me to pay for content. Nope.
  2. Honestly, I don't recall the Boston press getting after Pablebom for anything more than his post series celebrations and some other childish s***. Boston fans around here have nothing bad to say about him. He was pretty f***ing good most of the time in Boston. Now when he got to Philly he started to talk s*** like Philly fans are more knowledgeable than Boston fans. Then he kept on saying stuff that made in unpopular in Philly. He's a dope. But that's it.

    The Cubs

    They are both very good.
  4. Farrell said after the game that Koji was only available if the Sox were leading. Not sure what that means but he said it.
  5. Yeah Price did not get it done today. Although he was getting squeezed at least a little by a tight strike zone. Still, he has not looked really good yet.
  6. Lousy start by Price. But it's early and minimal damage was done. Hope his pitch count does not sky rocket.
  7. No. He was exiting Yankee Stadium when Billy Krystal summoned him to come over to where he was. Remy , in his haste, almost knocked Paul McCartney over.
  8. I just saw that ESPN has fired Schilling. http://nesn.com/2016/04/curt-schilling-fired-by-espn-day-after-sharing-anti-transgender-meme/
  9. I don't really care what he says. But he does have a screw lose if he keeps saying things in social media that stirs the pot. ESPN has warned him not to do this and he keeps yapping. That's either arrogance or stupidity. He's threatening his career at this point.
  10. Oh my God. I heard him talk about McCartney and I started to remember.
  11. Boston.com blows big green donkey dicks. ESPN Boston usually has the lineup too.
  12. I certainly believe that it was at least partially the FO.
  13. This is one of the reasons that I questioned signing a platoon player as a 4th outfielder.
  14. Sox ran into a buzz saw today. Yeah, Young over Holt may not have helped but no on was hitting that kid today. It happens. AS for Wright, I'm not surprised that he pitched well.
  15. Rutledge may indeed be a AAAA player. However he is good enough at both phases of the game to be replacement level. That is my opinion.
  16. I saw him play 2-3 times while at Pawtucket last year. He is not Merrero with the glove but he is pretty good. He is also not Merrero with the bat, fortunately. We'll see if he gets enough playing time.
  17. This is what that situation boiled down to. Put the player with the most to offer the team on the field each day. I want Swihart's bat in Boston and certainly do not wish for him or Hannigan to be traded. Vasquez is in the position to dramatically improve pitching performance. It would not make any sense at all not to go with him if he is healthy and prepared to play.
  18. I guess that I am confused. Who are we discussing? Pablo? If so, yes, I do believe that benching him or whatever was the correct move. He simply is not prepared to play at an acceptable level. I don't know about Castillo or even Swihart. However, neither of those two are finished products and could use the time in AAA to get better while not hindering the Sox by playing sub-par ball every day in Boston. You are correct that Swihart would likely be the #1 if Vasquez was not deemed ready and available to upgrade the position. Castillo? I just do not know. He appears to be very athletic. But his baseball acumen is not sufficient ( apparently ) to warrant a a permanent starting gig on the Sox.
  19. By that I meant that he should have done a better job at explaining his stance to his superiors. If then they decided to go against his advice then he should think about moving on. His job was to put together and maintain a winning program. If for whatever reasons he failed at his job then another person should replace him. Either way, the Sox have made many moves that have not worked out within the past few years. Which is not to say that they had not made such bad moves before Ben. Pablo was the wrong guy and was brought in at unjustifiable money and contract terms. Now it has blown up and Dombrowski has to deal with it. The Sox have no one to blame but themselves.
  20. Pedroia getting a blow. Hernadez is interesting. Let's see what cp176 is talking about. Is he better that Rutledge?
  21. Absolutely. But that did not happen and the Sox decided that it would be best to make a move to hopefully extract better pitching performance and shore up the defense behind the plate now. I see no reason to not put the best players available out on the field each day. That is what a team should be doing.
  22. Kimmi: He went into a hotel room with a 17 year old girl who was a concierge at the hotel. He stuck his penis in her vagina, then sodomized her ( anal ). She reported it. He denied it. He was charged ( his DNA was present ). He said it was consensual. Then his rich boy lawyers slandered and slut shamed the girl. She decided to not testify further and the case was dropped. Then Koby settled a civil case with her and it went away. Bottom line. At the very least he should not have been alone in a hotel room with a 17 year old girl. I don't know what the age of consent in Colorado was or is. But he should not have had any sexual contact with that girl. Furthermore, it has been statistically shown that because and since that case was dropped, far fewer women now report acts of violence and rape against them. Maybe you can identify with this being a problem too. Go Big Ben!! Go Kane!!!!
