I liked him in the 9 hole. That worked really well, I think. But a guy who can hit consistently will be good anywhere. 6 or 7 is good too.

Yes, I guess that I am. I don't like the product on the court. They stand around and take 35 footers. That is not the game I played and loved for so long. I miss inside, low post action. But got to give fans what they want!

Still has plenty of work to do. He needs to clan up his throws. But the kid is a natural athlete with a big motor and big brain. Trading him will be one of the dumbest moves DD could make. -

I think that the new systems should be employed in concert with the current home plate ump to monitor his ability to get the calls right. My twist would be that each home plate ump be fitted with one of those "Running Man" necklaces. If the ump misses a call he would get a taser type jolt of electricity ( I would not blow his head off ). I think that this system would yield far more consistent and correct calls.

Yes it is too early. Swihart, as much as I love the kid, has not been given a permanent spot yet and may never get it if many get their wish and see him traded. I hope that he sticks in left and that Holt resumes his strongest role on this team as super-sub. I have no doubt that SWihart can hit enough for left. I continue to worry about Bradley. Betts will be one of the best outfielders in the AL someday. -
These playoffs suck. I don't really care who wins. The remaining teams are flawed basketball product in my eyes.

Why should he ignore what I said? Long before you were a member here that phrase was coined. And not by me. Talksox is, and will remain, The Rogue State Of Red Sox Nation. And if anyone who joins can't accept Talksox as it is they can exit stage right to SOSH or worse.

Maybe as a New York fan you have seen this. But I have not heard anything like this at all. My fault with the replay system is how long it takes.

I agree with this entire post. No way in hell can an ump be correct all the time. It's a difficult task to call a game. The rules say no bitching about called strikes and balls. I say start booting players more often.

I am very long winded about the way Ben dismantled the rotation two years ago. My primary question is why? What was the end game in getting rid of anyone who pitched well for this team? It is ironic that Theo now has both of him locked up and producing in his rotation. Just dumb decision making by the Sox brass. -
