    I'm not a fan of his at all. But I don't remember any talk of him being an idiot. He just can not hit MLB pitching. Waste of money.

    I really doubt that white men who own baseball are actively working to prevent Blacks from playing in MLB. That may have been the case as recently as, say, the seventies. I'm not sure. But the Yawkeys of baseball are pretty much gone. I suspect that money is what it comes down to. If a player can make a team money than he gets a chance to play. I'm sure that racism still exist in baseball, just as it does everywhere else. Who was that dumb old f*** from the Dodgers that said something like "yur coloreds can't manage" blah blah blah? Those type are still in the game but have learned to keep their mouths shut so they can still make money. There are socioeconomic reasons that there are not a lot of Blacks in baseball. I'm not sure that racism is a big factor at this point.

    That's dumb, Dojji. Holt gives the team, GM, and Manager enormous flexibility. Just about any team other than the Cubs would want him for THAT reason.

    Yup. And as I said I am a big fan of his ( he's a local boy ) and he is a gamer. But s***, Leone keeps pounding the ball and drawing walks. He should be starting every game. Rotate the three other catchers as late inning replacement if possible. The idea is to win more f***ing games than the other teams in the division. Not to cater to the egos of three back-up catchers.

    I love Hannigan but why the f*** is Leone sitting? We need that bat. I'm sure Farrell has a reason. Leone is a switch hitter so it ain't a match-up issue.
