  1. Bingo. And Swihart may have still been playing or at worst Leone would have been up.
  2. I'm not sure either. I would like the Sox to finish first because I think that gives them a better chance at advancing. Plus, I think it would enable them to hopefully line up their starting pitching better with a little more rest. I have a feeling Kimmi is right about Toronto edging the Sox out for first. If the Sox are healthy enough and the bats awaken they could go to the series and win. No one in the AL is a powerhouse and I don't see the Cubs being invincible. This team is in much better position to finish well than before the 4 and 5 slots were filled with functional arms. So I've backed off my doom and gloom projection.
  3. Why do you doubt Hanley at DH?
  4. Good stuff. Although I wonder how much RF Swihart will play.
  5. I feel your pain. I liked the acquisition when it happened but now he just seems like a poorly hitting reserve player. I'd rather see Hernandez in there. What ever happened to Josh Rutledge? I see him on the bench. Is his season over? He plays average-ish D at third and can play 2nd. He is a good hitter when given the chance. Even Marrero could be used as his bat is no worse than Hill. Hill is not THE problem with this team. Aside from Pedroia , Ortiz, and Betts, the Sox hitters are all slumping or "underperforming". I don't see the Sox getting another outfielder from outside the org and I don't really care to see Castillo flail again. I think that Brentz is the guy followed possibly by Marrero's cousin who was raking in Pawtucket not long ago. Maybe we will see these guys in September. It will be interesting to see Moncada in September. I don't expect that he will resolve any issues, though. He does not have Benintendi's hit tool from what I have seen ( very SSS ). This whole team needs to suck it up. There is plenty of talent to make the playoffs and then advance. But not if they continue their offensive lethargy. I think the BP will be okay. Not lights out, but okay. I'm not sure about the roster status of some of the players I have mentioned. It's possible that I have my head firmly planted in my ass.
  6. Another Benintendi thread?
  7. Reportedly his shoulder is no where near ready for much baseball activity. That's what he says, anyway.
  8. That us a wonderful thing to do.
  9. Well stick a tube down her nose and I'll be there in about three hours.
  10. I caught it. I'm too busy being racist to have noticed so thanks.
  11. I forgot about Castillo. He's a turd as well. Nothing at all racist about it. I have nothing against any other Cuban that has played here or in MLB. I just don't want an overrated unskilled player being given huge money to ride the pine.
  12. You want another troublesome Cuban turd on this team?
  13. Most of them are everywhere Moon. We should probably drop this convo. It's the type of topic that gets out of hand here historically.
  14. This ^
  15. This is the link that MVP provided yesterday.
  16. One of the posters posted new pics of him yesterday.
  17. This is an excellent post for reasons that I understand being a fat f*** old man. What Dojji says can be done. I have seen it. I am not at all confident that Pablo has the stuff to make such drastic changes in his life. I am sure that he has pride but courage and discipline don't seem to be in his mix. If I was Pablo and I wanted to make the change, I would have started to lose 50-60 pounds the minute the anesthesia wore off. He needs to lose that much before his body will be able to adjust to being another athlete. The new photos of him are very disappointing. He still has a Dunlap hanging in front of him. Just look at the waistband of his shorts all doubled over. Fat f***s like me know that he is way off from being in shape. I've said this all before and those that do know me here know that I have very much experience in these matters. Playing at or near his current weight will result in failure. He has 58 million reasons as disincentive as well. And for those that may respond by saying "well, he played well at that weight in San Fransisco", you are really going to look stupid when he belly flops chasing a dribbler down the line. Dojji is correct. It ain't happening for the lovable tub of goo.
  18. Why is it necessary to discuss Price opting out two years from now?
  19. I was being sarcastic about the Sox medical staff. I agree with everything you said in this post. What a surprise!
  20. But assuming that he is in"optimal shape" in ST, he is still a mediocre player with declining offensive numbers.
