  1. You've made me smile.
  2. lol Somehow I don't see Henry having the sack to do that. He's more likely have an underling send an e-mail asking for his resignation.
  3. Major lols. I wonder if this shirt is available in 2X extra porky?
  4. And that is the nix on Kelly. Really good stuff but lack of command. I'm curious how this has changed?
  5. Have you seen those faded Citgo sign shirts? Those are cool.
  6. Lol. I'm pretty sure you are alone in this!!!
  7. Why not? Have you watched the kid play SS in Pawtucket? He is at least a s good as X defensively. He can't hit but he gives nothing away late in a game with his D. Still, Hernandez is at least average in the field and he does hit.
  8. I disagree. He damaged a vital part of his body that is essential to how he plays ( speed ). The Sox are fitting him with a custom made knee brace for a reason. It is possible that he can ( and I will use the Malaprop sports jargon here ) reaggravate the injury quite easily. The safe thing to do is shut him down if there is a decent likelihood that this will happen. Let him fully recuperate and strengthen his quad / knee over the winter and see where he is in ST. But, as we all know, the Sox medical staff is crackerjack. I'm sure that they have made the right call!
  9. I remember watching that game and Pedro was clearly gassed. They were making very solid contact on him the previous inning. Of course I was not on a game thread voicing my concern so my opinion now is not valid.
  10. I think we all can agree that RP are hit or miss a lot of the time. By definition, RP are lesser talents than SP otherwise they would be SP where they can make tons more money. So this is why the throw a ton of s*** at the wall and see what sticks method can work. It's a numbers game. Sometimes you get lucky and sometime you sign duds. I don't remember how Badenhop was acquired. He seems to be a decent example of what you can get. He pitched well and the Sox for some reason said bye-bye. Identifying guys like Badenhop is key to building a good staff. But there seems to be a randomness to it. I good pen can cover a lot of ills on a team.
  11. Well, I guess we won't get our preview tonight. General Farrell will stick to protocol (again) and make him sweat for a day or so. Dumbest psychological move he could make! Where does he get these golden rules, anyway? One of his two neurons.
  12. I'm advocating your position but it seems no one understands from what I said. I'll try another phrase. I'd rather that the Sox error on the side of caution.
  13. A tried and proven method.
  14. Boy I hope he does not drink coffee to get the caffeine. If he does, he may drown his two neurons. GO SOX!!!!1!!1
  15. Agreed. Other than a few highlight clips none of has seen him play much.
  16. I see no reason not to start Moncada tonight. But I can also predict that Farrell may start someone who has good numbers against the Oakland starter. That's how he roles.
  17. And, as User pointed out several years ago, pitchers are throwing breaking stuff at a much earlier point in their development. Maybe the accumulated usage and wear factors in.
  18. Agreed. Do people expect Moncada to walk into Oakland and be the second coming of Brooks Robinson? If all I have read about him is mostly accurate, the guy is a very good athlete and very coachable. While many here would be comforted if Moncada had played half a season or more at third before promotion, someone with more knowledge has made the judgment that he is good enough to give MLB a go. Besides, he is a Red Sox because of his potential as a hitter and offensve weapon.
  19. lol
  20. Wow. So much drama over one prospect coming up. It's a f***ing game.
  21. This is no time to be penny wise and pound foolish.
  22. Sean McAdam It appears the Boston Red Sox will be adding Yoan Moncada to their roster tomorrow. http://www.csnne.com/boston-red-sox/sounds-moncada-will-join-red-sox-thursday
  23. Longo is a Sox killer. What I was pissed about is the "miata" home run. I took a piss and came back into the living room to see him at bat. .230 ish average, 2 ks in the game and one measly home run. Yup, he will go yard. Then boom! I hate it when I'm right sometimes.
  24. In the photo above Pomeranz looks like he just smelled his own fart and is pleased.
