  1. Spaulding!
  2. Plus you get a free bowl of soup.
  3. Lol.
  4. That's f***ed up. I'm telling you I have seen some strange-ass stuff this year!!!!1!
  5. I believe that Farrell is smart enough ( along with his two assistants ) to not only rest his players, win the divison, gain HFA, all while setting up the playoff rotation. If he is not I would be surprised and disappointed.
  6. You will get over it. We disagree.
  7. Well that is just YOUR OPINION!!!!!!!
  8. I've seen some crazy-ass s*** this year. That play at the plate is one of them. In fifty years of watching the Sox and other team's games I have never seen anything like that. But when you are rolling good things tend to happen. I'll take it. Onto home field advantage!!!! Even though it does not mean that much!
  9. Me to!
  10. It's the time of the year when everyone is gassed and even nicked-up. This team has good depth. Give the regulars a chance to rest and recharge prior to the playoffs.
  11. I see no reason not to use Nintendo as a sub for JBJ. Will there be a drop-off in output and performance? I kind of doubt it. Mookie needs a blow too.
  12. http://www.boston.com/sports/mlb/2016/09/25/marlins-confirm-pitcher-jose-fernandez-has-died Just came here to post this. I know it is redundant but anyways. Wow. This is why I hug and kiss my 24 year old Son every time he leaves after a visit. f***. Anything can happen.
  13. I believe that the stated statistical difference is insignificant.
  14. Well said. Although I would have preferred that you post that in Klingon so I could see if Google Translate would work on it!
  15. Just prior to the last pitch of the game I said drop the hook on him! Once in a while we get it right!
  16. Lol. I like Layne anyways.
  17. It sure was. It was perfect. As much as I try to convince myself JBJ should be a shoe-in for the GG that play underscores why Kiermier is thought to be so good. I love great throws. I was spoiled early in life seeing Yaz, Evans, and Reggie Jackson peg runners out.
  18. He better f***ing be. That is his job.
  19. As much as I like Shaw and believe that he will become better, I'd drop him like a bad habit to get Archer. I would also make the move with Moncada. It's all moot, I suspect. The Rays won't be moving Archer unless someone in St. Petersburg goes of the deep end.
  20. I am just happy that you used TOO and not TO.
  21. Neither do I. Farrell destroyed a player's season and has cast doubt on that player's future. Much is said about a coach or manager that puts his players in a position to succeed. Farrell put one of his key players in a position to fail and now that player is damaged and can not perform because of it. It was a dumb f***ing move any way you slice it. Statistical analysis can no change these facts.
  22. Those were experienced and accomplished MLB players that understood game situations and strategy. They could also play in the field and take responsible AB. Weak sauce.
  23. And to let Sox fans who attend the game celebrate as well.
  24. Big Dick Rick will mow them down tonight. It will not be pretty. Parental Discretion is advised. I recommend putting the kids to bed early. Sleep well Thunder.
  25. Either or both of Moncada or the experts that judged him ready for MLB. Now if he was brought up as a "reward" for having a good season in MiLB and so he could get a taste of the bigs that is fine. However, anyone who has played the game and has watched the game for many years can see that he is clearly not fit for MLB duty yet. If you or others have witnessed otherwise ( as in watching many of his MiLB games in person ) or have seen him make really smart and proper plays in the field and at bat in MLB I would like to hear about those things in detail. Everyone is all gaga and blowing loads all over themselves with the "#1 Prospect by BB America" hype train. He must be the next great Red Sox!!!!!!!! I heard all the same or similar s*** about several guys that ended up fizzling or having only decent MLB careers before. Until Moncada learns more about the game, refines his techniques, and learns to hit WELL, he is just another really good athlete. And athleticism and Talent are not synonymous.
