That was very satisfying. If I'm Mookie I'm rethinking the Sox extension offer. Series win are good. 1st place is good. The day will come when the Sox lose a game like this when there is attrition and no viable back-up with Holt out and Pablow incapable of playing well enough.

You have a much better memory than I do. I still feel he is a liability to this team. If he did not have that huge contract he would have been gone by now.

Cleveland lost the top of their rotation last year and still managed to have a really good season. Maybe it hinges on depth and overall talent. Maybe it's just random. It's baseball, one way or another.

I made this and other comments somewhere in another thread it seems because I mistakenly assumed that Kimmi was being factious and "trolling". I made my comment in what I thought would be interpreted as silly humor. Unfortunately Kimmi is insulted by what I said and for that I am sorry. It was not my intent to insult anyone with my comments and in particular Kimmi who has made thousands of logical fact based post. I still think Pablow sucks and is of little or no use to the Sox. I can only remember one instance this year where he has obviously contributed to a win. That was a few games ago when he singled and was replaced by Merrero who scored the winning run. Again, I had no intention of insulting anyone ( especially Kimmi ) and I am sorry for the ill will that it has fostered.

I feel sort of the same except I have a feeling that the coaches really do work at helping players. Even good employees need some supervision sometimes. I think that someone has to own the team and authorize spending money. But they should stay out of BB opps. There should be someone running the business end of the team operation. There should be baseball opps guys ( people ) that scout, recruit, draft, coach, teach, manage the roster. I know managers take a lot of heat but someone has to steer the ship. -

I have lowered my expectations for Pom. Now I see him as an acceptable #5. Also, in post game interviews he seems to own his performance with non of the Buch-ish excuses for sucking. He also seems like a nice guy. -
