  1. They all suck donkey dicks. Blow it up!!1!
  2. Here we go again. Porcello will likely receive zip for run support.
  3. Blockbusters all.
  4. I was a huge Youk fan but boy did he look f***ing stupid getting thrown to the ground like The Gerbil by Big Dick.
  5. Here it is. I copied from his page again. Was signing Pablo Ben's or Larry's decision? Like · Reply · 1 · July 14 at 3:57pm · Edited Manage View 2 more replies Peter Abraham Peter Abraham · I love how when it's a bad decision, Larry did it. But the good decisions he had nothing to do with it. Like one person alone decides to spend $95 million. Think it out a little maybe? Like · Reply · 2 · July 14 at 4:25pm Manage Spud · I have no idea who was responsible. It was a bad move. I only ask because it is a subject of debate on Talksox. Kind of hard to justify spending $95. mil. on a late 20's player with three consecutive years of offensive decline. Especially when that player was only making $9.6 mil. at that time. Just dumb. In the real world any manager that makes this decision gets the axe Pete. Like · Reply · 2 · July 14 at 4:29pm
  6. I do not recall but if I stumble on it I'll post it again or something. It was very brief except for my response to him. It happened on his Facebook page if that helps you. I bet it can be found there still.
  7. By the way Kimmi. I suspect you are probably correct about Larry.
  8. Not according to Pete Abraham. I suggested that to him and he bit my head off. I posted our discussion last week. You must have missed it or you are blinded by your undying adoration of things Benny:p
  9. So you consider the Pablow, Hanley, Craig, and Castillo contracts not to be a mess? All that poorly invested money does not hamper DD's ability to move parts and fortify the roster? I understand your point about there being significant chips in the system with which DD can wheel and deal. But to Credit Ben with leaving strong farm is telling only part of the story. They left a big dent in the budget that will have adverse effects as we head towards that cliff.
  10. At the beginning of the season I stated that Smith would return about late July and the who knows if he will have good stuff. I forecast that he would probably make an appearance in August if all went well. Now he is throwing bullpen sessions and is scheduled to face "live batters" ( whatever that means ) mid week. It has been said by Farrell that he does not think Smith will be contributing much this year. It seems I was correct, at least for the most part. Don't count on Smith for s*** this season.
  11. I said most Moon. You must be jet lagged!
  12. With Pablow back in SF I am concerned for the well being of the residents of that region. If a big earth quake happens when he is around his addition weight may cause the entire bay area to slide into the Pacific. Then we will have to send in Snake Pliskin to try to save the Warriors.
  13. This is what I have suspected. No amount of prayer or platelet injections can fix that damaged knee.
  14. The problem is that our guy who hits that poorly can't even bunt well enough to make it worth trying. This team already gives away too many outs as it is.
  15. This team played like s*** tonight.
  16. I tend to agree with you Doc. The idea that replacing "most" of the production lost with added pitching, Pablow, a full year of Benni, and Moreland sounded "okay". But in reality the idea appears to be as flawed as the "there is more than one way to build a rotation" concept.
  17. The voice of reason. Price had been looking pretty good.
  18. I think he is pretty good. I do understand that he is not exactly a house of fire in the excitement department. He is a monotone. But he Knows the game and he meshes with OB seamlessly. I get it. He is sort of a Gomer Pyle in the booth. At least he knows it and is willing to be self deprecating. And as far as I am concerned everyone from the 2004 team is a hero except Doug Mankavich (SP) who was a giant f***ing dick with the series winning ball.
  19. At least he is a Gold Glove!
  20. That is not my word. I agree that losing Ortiz was a huge factor and that the Sox did not do enough to replace his lost production. Still, this offense should be able to do more that what it has to date. No one has had a sustained run of consistent hitting. Maybe the loss of the Ortiz bat has contributed to this but who can say for sure. So an unexplained drop in performance can be viewed as enigmatic. I think. By the way Doc. I stated that it is my belief that once a bone is dislocated it is more likely to be dislocated again. Is this accurate at all? I was referring to ERod. Also, it is my understanding that quad exercises can help prevent further dislocation of the patella. Is that so? Thanks.
  21. I think 3/36 would have wooed Miller back. He said that he did not want to leave and that this team was his home.
  22. Guys like Archer and Stroman come to mind. Also Kashmere.
  23. The Sox offense is mediocre and just can not erupt for clumps of runs frequently as we have been used to. It is an enigma to borrow a phrase from Kimmi.
  24. This includes relief pitchers that the Sox have not seen too.
