  1. I understand, I just knew the dude since freshmen year and we've always ripped on each other for sports. He'd always get really drunk and act with that "undeservingly arrogant swag" despite not being good at beer pong and being scrawny like Gumby. He's just acting like a LIL b**** right now, so since I don't go to college anymore, and therefore don't see him anymore, it's not a big loss, it's just a surprise because men don't usually (or at least shouldn't) do something like that. That's a real b**** move, no offense to the few women reading this.
  2. One of my friends from school is your prototypical bandwagon Yankees fan that's loud and in your face about everything, so he posted a lot of statuses ripping on the Sox a few weeks back (like he usually does) and he's always the first one to bring up the 27 rings argument, so I made a post on his wall basically saying "ain't karma a bitch" and he unfriends me. What a f***** diva. Not to mention that he changed his avatar to the colorado rockies logo during the 2007 world series. SMFH. I think he's mad because I "out blacked" him in front of his friends.
  3. Splash! At least they get out of the inning with the lead. Night y'all.
  4. This is why every poll should be public so we can rip on whoever makes bad choices. That said, I voted for Joe Torre because I think it's hilarious. I would have voted for Julio Lugo if that was an option on the thread.
  5. Especially because the postseason stats don't count for the redraft league. And nice catch on the edit. lol
  6. Yeah Flyers, way to earn some dignity after the playoffs last year. Sno dattt
  7. It was kind of like my recent work review, because she said I wasn't bad for a newbie, which is exactly what I said about her sister, plus or minus the newbie part.
  8. It's probably why my last relationship ended if you know what I mean. lol
  9. Premature "celebration" is never good.
  10. Yeah but if there's a sudden reversal of fortune, the jinxer gets lynched.
  11. Jesus Christ dude, don't jinx anything ffs
  12. I just wish that Francona would dish out the juicy gossip on the players. But that said, he's a class act and I respect him. It's a nasty world for managers/coaches, even if you're good there isn't much patience during a bad year, so there's no room for error and that's why it's called a "coaching carousel"
  13. Yeah I don't have much of a life anymore, not like I did in the first place, but now that the real world hit me, I don't have much time for anything anymore. Although on the bright side, that means that I haven't watched much of the latter part of the Sox season.
  14. I think it's so hot when you swear.
  15. When I looked at the rotations around midyear, I think that Forsyth had the best starting 5, despite the fact that I think he had one of the worst rotations after the draft. Yeah, and Brian Matusz was about as bad as possible. I can't believe that the Orioles still threw him out there to pitch. After a while, isn't it their fault for even trying?

  17. This was a lot of fun, and while I'd love to take all of the credit, many people helped with the organization and this was Dipre's idea. Unfortunately, now that I have a full time job, I don't have the time to run these like I did earlier. That said, I'd love to do another football one, especially since we have some new posters here (and on TalkPats) I think at this point, if you care, you should post stats from your players throughout the season. I'm going to post mine at some point, I doubt there will be a vote (especially since Dipre is banned) but it'll be neat to compare stats. If you guys still want to do a vote tournament then I'm sure it can work out, although it'll drag out for a really long time.
  18. If you weren't a girl you wouldn't get away with it as much.
  19. I tried not to mention names in some cases because I did not want to start another argument. Believe me, I'm not trying to fight anyone at this point!!
  20. I don't know about that, I mean I fought you once I think (which actually set up the fight with a700 that got me temp banned over a year ago) I had 1-2 fights with a700 (as mentioned), and a few fights with Gom, Suns, Dipre, and Crespo, but in my defense, who hasn't? And then there's a few other close calls I had with a few people that should probably remain nameless, but I think the only serious one I actually started was with a700. And then there was the personal s***storm with a member off of the site, but that's also another long unnecessary story. You know what? You might be right lol. But the point is, outside of one lengthy fight about LeBron (which involved a good 3-5 other members, only one of which I was arguing against) and the recent off site drama, I think all of the other arguments and disputes were well over a year ago. I think having other things to do in life (like a full time job) has mellowed me out. I've definitely come a long way since I first joined, but I came fresh off a few bans from Soxprospects (permanent) and ESPN (temporary).
  21. lol Don't forget that I nominated your post about A-rod taking the flight home as a post of the year (last year I think) And I was one of the few that did not rip on you for your Hideki Irabu comment shortly after his death. It was certainly uncalled for, but I thought it was funny. Who'd have thought that we'd have been bitter enemies a little over a year ago. Hmmmm.
  22. Along similar lines to a700, why not just root for the stadium to collapse during the Yankees/Rays series. Seems to take care of both problems.
  23. Nope, I'm just rooting for my fantasy team(s). They help me keep my mind off of real sports for a while. lol
