    Yeah, sure, whatever. Our argument was NOT about whether or not Napoli was a bad signing. It was whether or not he was doing well at the moment. And at the moment of your post, he wasn't doing well. I don't understand why you keep bringing it up. It's not like his future stats make you correct at that time so it's not going to change anything. You'll be just as wrong then as you will be 10 years from now. Now drop it like a ball popped up to Salty.

    I've been a fan of Guthrie from his earlier days so it sucks to see him get destroyed but I def want the sox to win. and Magicarp >>>>

    Maybe a signup or rotation or something. Something to prevent 6 people trying to do it at once. Or one person doing a dozen each year. (With exception of winning streaks) I just mentioned the idea in case there was a problem to be solved. If the status quo isn't a problem then carry on.

    If I were a Yankee fan I'd be happy as s***, even behind Boston. To have the corpses out there do well might surprise even the most optimistic of Yankee fans. I'm just saying if I put some bets down at the beginning of the year I'd be a richer man now.

    I feel like a lot of these fly balls will be HR's later in the year.

    It was 4 runs in 7 innings. (Plus if our offense was worth it's weight that shouldn't be a problem to match) Plus, to my knowledge, Dempster doesn't have the caustic/toxic personality Beckett did. In addition, while I didn't agree with the deal at first, the deal is a relatively short term one with money we had growing on trees at the time. If the money wasn't spent on Dempster, would it have been spent somewhere better or just lining the owners pockets? We're not on the hook for too much and it won't effect the future rotation for when young guys come in. It's not the greatest signing but I doubt it'll be what ruins a team that had the 2012 the Sox did.

    I'd say that 7 innings 4ER from our starter isn't too bad and should normally be good enough for our offense. We just need one decent inning in the remaining 3.

    As much as I don't like to see Baltimore win, I'm happy that Beckett caught another L.

    I like Sweet Caroline too. I'll drunkenly sing it in any Boston bar. My Yankee fan makes fun of me about it (the meaning of the song) but then he does the "Yankee RollCall" so I don't think he has any room to judge.

    I almost think the Uehara role (middle/late innings, often men on) is a role I'd pay more for quality than the typical 1-3 run lead in the 9th.

    I think a lot of us would listen to you about sacrificing Miller. Unfortunately nobody that listens to you has any pull with the Front Office.

    Each year I'm feeling less upset that we didn't draft him with the draft pick we lost when we signed Lugo. I couldn't believe he was still available at #27 when we had the 20th pick.

    It surprises me that police were able to entirely go ham on Christopher Dorner, a heavily trained (and armed) officer/former marine but they are having trouble with two younger (most likely relatively inexperienced) guys. There's so much I don't understand about the stories.

    At least we won like a boss. Now I just have to hope that those steroid samples reached the Yankees gatorade container in time for the tests.

    At least we got rid of Santana and Swisher for the last inning. Still have to deal with Reynolds but the 9th should be easier, even if it's only a 3 run lead.
