  1. Not very funny at all?
  2. Well, so much for Beckett rebounding. Although for once in however long I can remember, the offence is not to blame for the past few losses.
  3. Well, the great thing about winning last night is the fact that we had a free loss today, meaning that had we lost yesterday, we would have had to have won today to be at this point now. Now we still have the lead going into the last game. Jesus help us if we f***** lose that one though.
  4. Damn Braves for not knowing how to trade....
  5. I believe that would belong to Barry Bonds.
  6. I'd be more angry with Gonzalez than Pedroia on that one.
  7. Well at least Penny salvaged some more outs out of this thing.
  8. And Mike Lowell couldn't throw out Varitek at first.
  9. Well at least we're on the road, so that's one less inning for our bullpen if we end up losing.
  10. These guys should be playing like they want a playoff spot. It's now or next season guys...
  11. If I remember correctly Bard was throwing 93-94 according to that gun.
  12. Reddick has been sent down to AAA and Brian Anderson has been brought up to play right for tonight. (I assume Drew is sitting due to the Lefty on the mound)
  13. I'm the only person I know that's been ejected from a baseball game, basketball game, football (soccer) and a rugby game for fighting, before the age of 15. I've also had ejections for arguing with an umpire, pegging a batter in the face, and throwing my bat at a pitcher for hitting me. I most certainly can't have a Major League career or else I'd have an arrest record.
  14. I just realized that with Lugo gone, I have no use for my "Lugo is handicapped" T-Shirt. Oh, well. At least I still have use for my "A-rod goes limp in the playoffs" T-Shirt.
  15. I agree, I never suggested that Almonte's performance was legit, but in terms of how performances go on the big stage, you can't beat a perfect game.
  16. I don't know, Almonte threw a no hitter (perfect game maybe) in his game. It was followed by an American pitcher who almost threw another perfect game in the next game but the center fielder missed a diving catch on the last out. As far as I know you can only tie a perfect game, but you can't beat one.
  17. I just threw a perfect game with Dice-K in MLB the Show. Hopefully the perfect game can be good mojo for us. I'm still wound up from that. I can't believe I got one with Dice-K of all pitchers.
  18. Anyone remember that kid from the Saudi Arabian Team who was 6' 8"? There's a picture of him standing next to a baserunner on the other team that was 4' something. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Durley
  19. As long as he doesn't throw a ball into the stands then I'm cool with him.
  20. One thing about the LLWS is that it's pure on the part of the players. Or at least I'd like to think so. No one is playing for a contract, it's safe to say that none of them take steroids, and it's all for the love of the game (though not necessarily for the parents) That said I was so mad that the CT team lost last year. They were in the same pool as the eventual champion Hawaii team and lost a close game to them and lost to the Florida team in extras. I also remember that a lot of the Latin teams players (even the loaded Curacao team) had the Red Sox as the team "they'd most like to play for". Get on that Epstein!!! I will also say that the umpires here still have a major league strike zone despite the fact that the batters are only 4-5 ft tall.
