  1. That's something we can all agree on.
  2. Gomes 2 for 2 and Salty with the double. He probably could have scored on that wild pitch. I also find that the Amica Zone is a bit lower than I would expect. A lot of pitches that look low to me are at the bottom of the Amica Zone.
  3. If we win any more games against the Rays this season then we'll already have won the season series.
  4. Believe it or not, if I am reading the numbers correctly, it looks like Miller is thus far doing better against righties than lefties. This year it looks like lefties are hitting .280/.345/.364 (55 batters) compared to righties at .149/.298/.175 (57 batters) Although for his career it's the other way, understandably so. I'm not that confident that Miller can consistently harness his control or get righties out, but I can say that I have been very impressed with his tenure as a reliever in Boston.
  5. If we get one of those tough signs (Sheffield/Longhi) then I'd be really happy with the draft. I already like it, but that would make it one of the best draft hauls in recent memory imo.
  6. I honestly wouldn't trade those prospects if the Phillies threw in Lee with Papelbon. (Assuming we're eating the money too)
  7. I put explore options, but that's more because of his injury history than because of his effectiveness.
  8. Jim Callis ‏@jimcallisba #RedSox sign 12th-rder Jake Drehoff for $175k. Southern Mississippi LHP works w/87-91 mph fastball & slider. #mlbdraft According to multiple industry sources, the Red Sox’ deal with first-round pick Trey Ball is in the last stages before becoming official. The No. 7 overall pick in the 2013 draft is expected to sign today, with a media introduction to follow. The athletic left-hander out of New Castle High School in Indiana was in Boston to take his physical on Monday, and no issues emerged that would jeopardize the agreement. While precise terms remain unknown, Ball has agreed to a deal for less than the $3.246 million recommended slot value.
  9. I thought we took care of the diva problem when we traded Beckett and Youkilis.
  10. And they are going to have to blow Miami into Cuba in order to win game 7. I hate the LeBron already had "two time NBA champ" shoes prior to game 6. I hope they lose and those shoes get sent to be eaten by kids in Africa.
  11. I understand this (I'm a big UConn and Ray Allen fan) however he was off balance when he shot it, unlike a lot of his normal catch and shoot plays. His shoulders weren't square and he looked kind of twisted. Those shots normally end up air balls....but it was Ray Allen.
  12. I'm just amazed that a day in which the Red Sox swept a double header vs. Tampa Bay ended up being a s***** sports day.
  13. If Farrell had won 4 titles earlier there might be a difference. Then again there are a lot more Boston fans than there are Spurs fans. A Spurs fan riot might mean that Mexicans don't show up at Home Depot and help Americans build things for a while. #Republicanwetdream
  14. I don't blame the refs for the game. I blame a lot of things, and I agree the coaching wasn't great and didn't work out tonight, in addition to the loyalty to Ginobili over others is risking games. I'm still gonna go with the fact that God just really hates me.
  15. I'm both a Spurs fan, and a Heat hater. And yes, I don't quite agree with Pop's faith in Ginobili (although he did near single handedly win the game before) but I understand his philosophy with benching Duncan in order to get faster players to defend shooters. Yeah, Miami missed, and got the offensive rebound and twice made the 3's. That's some really bad luck and some blame goes on the guards for not guarding the 3's. Allen's heave was lucky as hell. The announcers were explaining why they benched Parker on defense. It made sense to me. So I'm more upset at the Gods and my luck than I am upset at Popp. I don't necessarily agree with all of his moves, but his 4 titles and verge of a 5th have earned the benefit of the doubt imo. But yes, I'm resisting the urge to break s*** right now. If the Heat win game 7 people might have to call and check in on me. Edit: Not to mention the fact that Ginobili, Parker, and Leonard all missed a free throw in the last couple of minutes. Edit #2: And while I didn't see a replay that really could have been a foul on Miami on the last drive. Oh well, Spurs won in Miami in game one and for all intents and purposes should have done it again, so they can still win game 7.
  16. He can sleep with my daughter if I ever had one and I'd still name a son after him. 4 Titles and damn near a 5th. That's about as much as all of my other teams combined.
  17. The Bruins winning will be a slight consolation prize if the Spurs lose to the Heat. Only slight but anything is better than nothing.
  18. The worst possible NBA season ever would be the Heat beating the Spurs in the finals in 7 games. And we're 1 game away from that happening. Absolutely disgusting. I mean picture perfect everything possible going wrong. God hates me. And I hate basketball. If the Heat win on Thursday I think I'm going to destroy my computer so I can go a few months without having to deal with Heat fans.
  19. f*** the Heat. If the Heat win this and game 7 I may never watch basketball again.
  20. If anything hopefully it's a sign of things to come from Doubront and he salvages his season and future years with us.
  21. Jonny Gomes and Felix Doubront were two people towards the bottom of the totem pole and they single handedly won the game for us. (With a little help from some others)
  22. Especially now that Molina is in for Joyce I say let Doubront go for it and keep Bailey warm.
  23. And in Aceves defense his was at like 75 pitches through 5 before the rain delay, so he likely would have been able to give us another 1 to 2 innings if it weren't for that. I was pleasantly surprised with both of their performances tonight.
  24. He also had been doing an amazing job not walking batters.
  25. It's a different type of quizzing site. Instead of multiple choice quizzes you have a time limit and you type in the answers so you have to spell it correctly to get credit. I've gotten "Yaz" wrong on so many quizzes just because I can't spell his name to save my life. Same with Coach K.
