  1. You'd have an uphill climb based on your drafting and trading abilities. You might have won 1 trade all season. And judging by your redraft team, I'm not convinced that much would change even if you did draft your team. When you finish 12th out of 14 teams, it's both drafting and managing (and trading) that's the problem.
  2. It might also be worth noting that MSUbulldogs is the defending champion.
  3. I've had to work the Thunder/Rockcats series, and in last night's game, I was sitting a few rows behind home plate (as I usually do), and just before the game started, some tall, lanky, goofy-looking white dude sits right in front of me, and he had to have been at least 6 10" and destroys my view of the game. Anyway, I mention that because I later found out that he was Andrew Brackman, who actually is listed at 6 10. I think that Manny Banuelos was sitting next to him. In any event, one thing I learned is that a lot of teams have their own players sit in the stands and scout the other team as well as their own pitchers. Usually, the team will send injured players or starting pitchers on off days, and they will have radar guns and notebooks to look for particular things. Over the season I've gotten to meet and I've gotten autographs from a bunch of prospects. If I see Brackman and Banuelos again, I'll have them autograph my "Yankees Suck" T-shirt.
  4. Look up 5-6 posts.
  5. If it adds to the evidence, his team is 12th out of 14 in our league.
  6. In all fairness, I agree with Suns on a few things. I do agree that some of the voters made mistakes throughout the tournament, and I agree that his team was better than many gave it credit for, but there were only 2-3 teams that I'd give Suns the win over, and ytrb is obviously not one of them. I'd sympathise with Suns IF he actually got screwed over in the voting, but it was the obvious decision. I'm all for being a sore loser, but you only have the right to complain and argue if you actually have a case, and Suns doesn't.
  7. I took my response to that thread as well as to not (further) hijack this thread with previous redraft bitterness.
  8. Suns, you faced the best team in the league. Unless you had my team or Divinity's team, you wouldn't even going to be considered against Ytrb's team. The only incorrect decision made was voting JBay's team to the finals over my team. Every other vote was justified.
  9. We should probably update the thread to make it official who has what prospect and that we can all start our own prospect threads.
  10. I'd say the Phillies or Braves. While I consider the Phillies my NL team (and I want Halladay to get a ring), their fans annoy the f*** out of me, and I don't think that their fans deserve another WS. In addition, I want Bobby Cox to retire with a ring. I'd say the same for Chipper Jones if he wasn't injured.
  11. On the other hand, I feel that my team was not given fair justice in the semifinals of the Baseball Redraft, so in that case, I'm going to name my team in honour of that team, to recognise one of the greatest injustices in sports history. My team name will be: Erin Andrews Likes it Raw
  12. Don't draft a bad team and you won't have to worry about being cheated out.
  13. I think he gave up a HR to the first batter he faced in his Rockies debut, and gave up 4 ER in 1/3 of an inning total.
  14. Sounds pretty good. I'd be interested. The earliest I could start doing it is Sunday though, since I'll be away for a day or two.
  15. Delcarmen gave up a HR to the first batter he faced (Jayson Werth) and has an ERA of 108 with the Rockies. (1/3IP 4ER)
  16. I'm certainly not going to make a pro-TJS argument or anything, but TJS isn't the same thing as it was years ago. There have been tons of players that are doing well today that have had TJS not too long ago.
  17. I think it was measured at 103.9 mph to be exact.
  18. Anybody watch the Marlins vs. Nationals highlights?
  19. Here's a good page with scouting info on CBM. http://scoutingthesally.com/2010/07/game-report-chris-balcolm-miller-p-colorado-rockies/
  20. I'm not surprised.
  21. The only thing I hated was giving up the draft pick. He definitely wasn't worth that, but other than that I think he's been decent.
  22. Would you rather have Julio Lugo?
  23. I had the same thing. Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@talksox.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.63 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_jk/1.2.28 mod_python/3.3.1 Python/2.4.3 Server at http://www.talksox.com Port 80 And it just now worked.
  24. Considering that you didn't get screwed at all, and that I absolutely got shafted out of the finals, that would add up to me being screwed more than you.
  25. No slowness issues, although occasionally my page will change to an error page. Something like a 404 or 505 error. I'll be more specific the next time I see it.
