I've had to work the Thunder/Rockcats series, and in last night's game, I was sitting a few rows behind home plate (as I usually do), and just before the game started, some tall, lanky, goofy-looking white dude sits right in front of me, and he had to have been at least 6 10" and destroys my view of the game.
Anyway, I mention that because I later found out that he was Andrew Brackman, who actually is listed at 6 10. I think that Manny Banuelos was sitting next to him.
In any event, one thing I learned is that a lot of teams have their own players sit in the stands and scout the other team as well as their own pitchers. Usually, the team will send injured players or starting pitchers on off days, and they will have radar guns and notebooks to look for particular things. Over the season I've gotten to meet and I've gotten autographs from a bunch of prospects. If I see Brackman and Banuelos again, I'll have them autograph my "Yankees Suck" T-shirt.
