    For the record, I entertained the idea of putting either Pedroia or Youk first. I think very highly of them both. If Youkilis was our first baseman I might put Pedroia ahead, but with Youkilis at third I might go with him. Either way, it looks like I'll be the first person to not put Lester in the #1 spot.

    Maybe some of this will get settled when I do my rankings. I'd clearly have Lester as the top ranked pitcher, but I'm not sure where I'd put him with respect to the offensive players.

    Right, I'm not arguing that, but it doesn't mean that because Lester's the ace, that he's the most valuable player on the team, or the most important player for the 2011 season.

    I'm actually more surprised that Lester is as high as he is than any confusion with Gonzalez.

    It depends on what we're ranking them on. For example, rankings on talent will be different from rankings on predictions of 2011 production, which will be different from ranking their value to the team etc.

    He'll go from being one of the richest players on the Yankees to one of the richest players at Hometown Buffet.

    I love the Uconn reference, but Kemba Walker isn't in the NBA yet. Although I think he'll be a stud eventually.

    It would be even worse if the Yankees solve their SP issue by trading Montero.

    I think that Red Sox Nation should start a fund drive to help the Red Sox afford Pujols. I think that most Red Sox Fans would donate to that cause.

    I doubt that there are any major city fan bases without a lot of bad fans. One of my closest friends is a Yankee fan and we argue about which fan base is worse all the time. I personally think that it's impossible to measure, so I say it's a tie.

    Maybe if Mark Cuban got the Cubs, it'd be more likely.

    Technically, everyone on the team is a sunk cost unless they are traded. A sunk cost doesn't refer to one's worth, (although the intented implication may), but rather the fact that the expense is already incurred and (barring a trade or injury clause) cannot be undone.

    Don't forget that Micheal Phelps smoked weed, and we all know that's a performance enhancing drug. What about those Gold Medalists from Canada that got their gold medals taken away because they tested positive for marajuana?

    I'm not a fan of dumpster diving either, but if you're on the Orioles and you want to compete with the Sox, Yankees, and sometimes even the Rays, you're going to need to find good deals. Seven hundred thousand for Duchsherer is a lot better than the $5 million each that we paid both Smoltz and Penny.

Anyway, I've said all that I've had to say, and made the points that I've had to made. I've moved on from this and hope you have a nice life JE and good luck in your future endeavours. I'm done with this, but I know that you're still fighting with Keeper, DirtDog, and who knows if Emmz or anyone else is going to take on what's left of you. You can respond with whatever irrelevant details and baseless unoriginal and interchangeable cheap shots you want, but I won't be responding to you further. I choose to no longer be trolled by you, and even though I've had my fair share of fun styling on you, there's a point where it's no longer worth it, and it becomes sad. If one of us doesn't decide to stop responding and end it, it'd likely end up bad for the both of us. So once again, I'll choose to be the bigger person and end this by not responding to you further.
