Yeah, not sure I'd want Wacha for 4 years. Sox did have an agreement in place for Eovaldi that was apparently more than what he got from the Rangers, but Nate originally said no. When he finally came back to them, the budget had already been spent. Why not just go over the CBT for him if you really wanted him?

I don't think 110 pitches for Paxton is the end of the world. I wouldn't have him out there throwing 140.

No, Dalbec currently has a 34% k rate in AAA which would be a career high for him at that level.

And that's probably it before a phantom IL? Hard hit is up to 45% (35 '22). BB% is 9.4 (3.4 '22). xSLG of .514 is bottom 10% in the league. He went from being a control pitcher with no velocity to a guy who walks batters with no velocity. I'm not sure there's upside left.

Vaz's contract was just way too high IMO. I think his $$$ can be used elsewhere. Mcguire/Wong hitting 8th is decent for what cathers are these days. No complaints from me.

The rotation would be: Paxton Sale Bello Whitlock Houck Crawford can be the 6th starter if one of them goes down.

To me, this just means he was a note taker. It doesn't mean he was the guy who came up with the idea. He clearly hasn't put it into practice here. He hasn't brought any Rays guys over.

Story was horrendous his first two years in the league and then fixed himself. He struggled adjusting to the AL last year. We'll see if he can get that rate back down to what it was in 18-21 (23-26%).

@redsoxstats Bogey comes into the series hitting .214/.340/.333 over the last month and .254 with a .712 OPS since April 6th. This season he's had a huge drop in out of zone swing% which has him walking at a career best 12% You can increase the sample size a bit more and see that he really had a hot first week and then really hasn't done much since. SLG, ISO, Brl, Hard Hit are all down from '21 and prior. The concerns of a drop in power we saw last year have carried forward.
