  1. No, it's the mark of a mediocre team. This team is mediocre. They are a .500 team.
  2. Shaw is probably a 2B, but has good speed and played HS ball in Worcester. Nice to get a local kid.
  3. Rays bad. Rays bad. Rays bad. Rays bad. Rays bad.
  4. Dalbec was a negative DRS/OAA guy at 1B too. Casas needs to put the work in.
  5. Casas' defense is a problem. The 1B with worse OAA than Casas: Vlad Jr Spencer Steer The 1B with worse DRS: None (tied with Trey Mancini and Spencer Torkelson) His UZR/150 of 0.9 is fine. It's the picking at 1B that's been a problem.
  6. Didn't the win projection INCLUDE the questions about Sale's health? This rotation stunk last season and were close enough to .500. They'll probably be around there this season too unless more shoes drop.
  7. Probably the best the pitching has looked in about a decade. When ERod was the #1 prospect, there were a few intriguing arms in the system.
  8. On day 1 you had a problem with him? Wow. I really didn't have an idea who he was back then. You must really do your research!
  9. Better than 10 teams #2 now?
  10. They should just DFA him.
  11. If they had fired him after last season I would have agreed with it. I don't know if Henry will fire him or not. If I was the owner of the Sox it would definitely be run differently.
  12. Why should that matter? Results clearly don't matter to you.
  13. You like that old gag too?
  14. I have never said he's done a great job. It's been a mixed bag. I'd grade him out at a C+ if you include the farm. If you are just looking at the MLB roster it's a D+ for doormat.
  15. You are most definitely NOT hung up on RESULTS. OPS by month: April 576 May 766 June 848 821 OPS since 5/3. He's been a good hitter for almost 2 months now. Your "eye test" is just stuck in a box score from 1983.
  16. Drohan pitched 4 Inn, 0 ER, but left via a trainer.
  17. @RotoClegg Sometimes it doesn't take much to know a pitcher has it. Yordanny Monegro has it! FB sitting around 95, up to 97. CB with massive drop from a 12-6 shape sitting 78-80 Mixes in a change in the upper 80s, even threw a slider. 4 IP/2 H/0 ER/0 BB/8 K today
  18. His name isn't on the bank account.
  19. $100? How long is that supposed to last these days? I spent $150 yesterday only because we're leaving Thursday AM for vacation for 10 days. If I spend under $200, I've forgotten a few things.
  20. @alexspeier Ceddanne Rafaela was informed after yesterday’s game in Double-A Portland that he’s moving up to Triple-A Worcester. Rafaela: “I’m very excited. … It’s one step closer to Boston”
  21. BaseballAmerica 6. Marcelo Mayer 81. Miguel Bleis 87. Nick Yorke 95. Roman Anthony MLBPipeline: 5. Marcelo Mayer 87. Ceddanne Rafaela 91. Nick Yorke 92. Miguel Bleis
  22. Pitching is very hit or miss in the DSL. Hard to get excited over a small sample size, especially one game.
  23. I can't believe the Marlins tried to make him their closer.
  24. It is impossible to talk over someone else on a message board. Words seem to have no meaning to you.
  25. My eye test is telling me that those goal posts just moved pretty substantially from "hasn't been that good" to "wouldn't give a massive long term extension to."
