Just to change the subject: @Phillies Additionally, RHP Noah Song, currently on the 60-day injured list with a low back strain, had his rehab assignment transferred from single-A Clearwater to double-A Reading. https://www.milb.com/player/noah-song-679977 Song is throwing in the low 90's, down from a few years ago. Once his rehab is up, he'll need to be put on the active roster or put back on the IL. Rumor is that DD is unwilling to give him up no matter what. Song's upside now may only be middle reliever going forward.

They are moving guys quicker than they have recently. I'm not sure they are really ready to move Yorke yet. Can't move Bonaci until one of Yorke/Meidroth/Mayer is promoted. They would run out of AB's.

Teel's defense is supposed to be good enough to play the position.

I just don't think he's as high end as you do. He's not a top 100 guy. He might not be a top 200 guy.

Usually more than 2! SoxProspects still lists Perales as a ceiling of a mid-rotation starter. That's Bello? Worse than Bello. That's the ceiling! It's more likely that Perales ends up in the pen since he's still having command/control issues.

Ward was actually a starter at one point. Wallace has always been a reliever and IS STRUGGLING IN AA. Ward is a far superior pitcher to Wallace. It's not even close.

A top tier catcher? Draft them. Anything else is a shot in the dark. If they guy can stick behind the plate like Adley, it's definitely worth it.

To some owners, there is value off the field for marketing and other reasons not factored into fWAR. Not sure Henry is as concerned about that though.

He only pitched in one game in 2021 because of injuries. If there plan is to hoard DSL guys, their 40 man roster will get bloated with guys that can't help their MLB roster on an annual basis. Not an ideal way to run a competitive team.

Oh no! He's in AA with a 1.65 WHIP. He would have been returned like Politi. You can let low upside relievers go.

He's still far away and needs to be put on the 40 man this year. Probably wouldn't get to BOS until 2026? He also hasn't been a very healthy player so I don't know if he's a guy you can really trust long term. I'd sell high on him if I could.

No idea about the "way under" rumor. Honestly, as long as they sign the first 4 picks, I'm happy.

Wrong! Neither were on the 60 day IL in Spring Training. They both took up roster spots that could have been used by functional players!

I also wasn't saying it was certainly going to happen. I was saying there was just a chance it would happen due to the rumor that Teel was signing for way under and that the Sox really loaded up on underslot guys. He's still likely to go to school as his bat needs more refinement IMO.
