After reading what moon wrote, I'm fine if anyone wants to grade Bloom lower than a D+. I don't think you can rationally argue him as having a B- tenure.

With the Ben regime, he didn't trade from the minor league talent, but I don't think they really added much to the minor league either. He lucked into Benintendi, but the remainder of those drafts were pretty bleak overall. If he didn't win in 2013, he is definitely worse than Chaim IMO. However, he DID win in 2013 so he gets a nice C-. Chaim gets a D+.

Why would you put Anthony in LF? He’s a good enough athlete to play CF, but will be great in RF in Fenway.

No, I think the indecisiveness in prior trades prevented him from helping the here and now. If he had gotten under the CBT in 2022, they would have probably gone over in 2023. Now that Henry is potentially on board with spending more money, they'll need someone who won't hem and haw over deals. They need someone who can be truly decisive and bring guys to Boston rather than waiting out the market the way Bloom had.

I think there's no chance they get two of the top tier guys. I just don't see it happening.

I'd take Nola for sure. He's more likely to pitch all year and pitch a Complete Game once in a while.
