CBT doesn't seem to matter to some organizations. It's a big deal to the Sox for some reason.

We'll see what the FO does with this. If they realize they are out, they need to be on the phone with option 2. If they fumble the bag, it's over. It'll take a good playoff run before they'll get me to buy into the nonsense again no matter what they do.

Expectations are Casas and Masa will be better in year 2. Story will make up for the horrible SS situation in 1st half. Abreu's fWAR prorates to 3.5 over a full season . I think the offense is in a holding pattern until the prospects start showing up later this year and in '25.

It's one thing to have to work on command or control, but that he still is working on both means he's most likely a reliever IMO.

Tim Robbins is great and Susan Sarandon is always fantastic, but Costner is just such a big suck that he negates the other two. Sad!

Masa was hitting pretty well until the schedule and playing LF beat him up. The hitters seem to need a year to adjust but not the pitchers.

Why? Japanese pitchers have come over and performed really well recently. Why would the best version of them come over and do worse?

The Coordinator roles aren't an issue IMO. The problem is the 18 SVP and EVP's. That doesn't even count Sammy Wormtongue Kennedy.

Now compare Burnes' numbers to Monty's. Burnes' is decreasing from a career best in 2021, but his 2023 season is still better than what Monty is doing. He throws more innings. He gets more k's. He has a lower WHIP.

Burnes' Statcast is red hot RED. Montgomery's statcast is a mild grey. But Burnes used to be better!!! Need that Montgomery malaise...

Even if they just ran out Reyes and Valdez again for one year, if they got Monty Burnes I think it's a good offseason.

Merrifield doesn't get it done for me. He's a hold my nose option. Imanaga has much more risk attached and could be more of a 3/4 due to the decreased velo. Maybe it plays up in MLB, but we don't know.
